On Friday we will get the all-important US non-farm payroll figure for October. Since the US government is open for business, buts still dysfunctional, we will actually get the report on time. Current median estimate for the headline figure is for an increase of 125K jobs while the unemployment rate is predicted to increase by 0.1% to 7.3%.
I think we may see a set of lower than expected numbers for October, November and December. I would not be surprised for some revisions to the previous two months, downward revisions, and that the actual net figure for October shows less than 100K. We will see on Friday.
