Hi guys,

I’ve been interested in MXN peso since I’m planning to relocate there by the end of this year.
Late last year the USD/MXN rate was about 13.98 peso per 1 USD. At one point it even passes 14.02 peso per 1 USD.

But starting this week its about 13.12 peso per 1 USD, and continues drop…

My question is, do you experts think the Peso value will continue to rise? I’m hoping it will drop back to 13.90 or so, so the dollar has more power.

Any way to predict?

Well, I’m definitely not an expert on the MXN, but I can guarantee you that there is no reliable way to predict its (or any other currency’s) future movement.

Regarding the ‘power’ of the dollar: unless you are planning to invest eight digits in Mexico (which I doubt, judging from your question), there should be no difference for you between an r.o.e. of 14 and one of 13.
It’ll just make your lunch cost 50 cents more.
