I’m a Canadian who previously lived abroad and now back living in Canada. I use FXDD Malta as my broker and all of my funds in which I’ve been trading with are in USD. As I intend to withdraw some / possibly all of this money at some point, my plan is to make the conversion from USD to CAD when the rates are most favorable. Obviously, as in trading forex, the rates can have a huge impact on the value of my currency.
I have a US bank account in the US, and also, one of my Canadian bank accounts in Canada is in USD (borderless account). My question: Can anyone advise as to the most economical way for me to transfer this money into CAD when the time comes? Or should I simply wire the money into my borderless Canadian account and transfer into USD?
