Hello, does anyone know if there are any benefits to running a scalping bot on a Cloud Server vs running it on a VPS? E.g, take a look at this package: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)
There is a price difference and downtime… Good companies have almost 0.99% of downtimes which don’t effect you at all… Cloud computers are a bit fast and redundant… No huge difference except than cost…
BTW all datacenters these days use cloud computing technologies whether they mention that or not… Its just a marketing tactic to me…
Cheers…
Virtual Private Server(VPS) is a best Forex trading tool and a perfect complement if traders already have Expert Advisors downloaded to their MT4 trading platform. The automated orders will go through even when the computer is switched off, which enables traders not to miss any chances in Forex trade.
so meaning im opening a window at VPS 24/7/365 with EA running?
Yes, for a monthly fee you are being allocated server space, so that you can run EAs, trailing stops et cetera 24/5 without being forced to keep your PC running all the time.
It’s not actually 24/7/52 (the year has 52 weeks, not 365 :)), because also VPS servers need maintenance and updates, but those are being done on weekends only, when markets are closed anyway.
Cheers,
P.
