I would flip that question. I kept asking myself, âDoes this move the needle for me?â If the answer is no then I discontinue learning or partaking in it.
I think we get sidetracked too much and the above question keeps us focused on what works rather than spinning our wheels with what doesnât.
The 4th question is seriously something beginners should think the least about. The forex game is all about patience, those who donât have it must learn to be calm before they start trading.
I would add to the list: Please give me a strategy which is profitable or which indicators are best to use. When I see such questions, I am not sure whether it comes from their lack of knowledge or wish to make some swift money without putting any effort in it
The strategy question is just asking for spoon feeding. The best indicator one, I will blame that on lack of knowledge. I think itâs a pretty common question for newbies. But what I feel bad especially for those who take the time to answer is when they ask extremely lazy questions.
âWhat is forex? How does it work?â Dead giveaway right there. Person took time to create an account here but didnât even google what forex is.
So how does someone new to forex know what are the appropriate questions to ask or not to ask. Some will not ask a particular question because they dont know what the reaction will be to the question itself never mind the answer. Like someone said above there are no stupid questionsâŚbut if you do happen to see a question that annoys you or is infact a lazy question⌠then why answer?? The OP clearly finds the questions posted annoyingâŚbut why do you get sucked in to be annoyed by them in the first place? I personally dont read a thread theat doesnt capture my interest, but others clearly spend there time reading the threads that are headed by a title that annoys them. Wierd
This is a good point but also I suppose as someone who has been around here for a while now, a lot of us are just seeing the same questions over and over again and some donât even take the tiniest amount of effort to do a search here first or maybe try to read what is forex even before hopping in here to ask⌠âhow does forex work?â
Even as someone fairly new around here I can already see what you mean.
Personally I like to see questions along the lines of how to learn a particular topic like whatâs the best way to learn about price action or how can I learn to code an EA etc.
It shows initiative from the person asking and can lead to useful resources from experienced members.
Yeah and I think thatâs probably what I missed when I wrote this topic. When you see someoneâs initiative in the question, you appreciate it and actually want to help. But if itâs just a super lazy question then yes, it gets annoying⌠And then repeat that 10x a week and you end up with a topic like mine
