What does your setup look like? Your TIME TO SHOW OFF!

I suggest multiple monitors. Mainly because having charts on one and even news or reading on the other helps split things up resolution wise. Like in my picture I’ve got a 24" display but am still looking to hook up another 19" or 20" as a secondary for things I’d like to have open on the side. I.E two trading platorms.

As for operating system, Windows 7 for sure. Vista runs a bit slow and 7 is great. I’ve had so many problems with Vista I can’t wait to upgrade to Win7.

That could help define the different windows /platforms by having multiple monitors.

so, this is what a trader should prepare too, aside from learning to trade…serious gadget investments. Thanks a lot folks for telling us what you all got

Is there a newer version of this thread?

One pic with flash for clarity and one without to show my light up keyboard

Left monitor is USDX split into daily and m15 time frames and right monitor is cable or fiber split the same way.

Are you using the dualshock controller to draw your fibs?

Nope… just to pwn noobs!!

Whoops, I posted from my old account.

This is my trading set-up
Very specific to take the pain away from some of the not so successful trades

IMO these things are useful for any trader.

Salt in the medicine cabinet?

I dunno, i just googled “what does a trader have in his medicine cabinet”

I still use my old gaming rig before, when I still played world of warcraft and starcraft II. Nothing fancy. Some of the letters are missing from the keyboard. o.O

i should take a pic, but…

a simple AMD-based PC, 4G RAM, Win7-64Pro (that will soon to get shoved onto an SSD), and here’s the fun part… dual graphics cards spitting out to 6 monitors (23" each). logitech cordless trackball, of course.

plus an HP g-series 15" laptop (Win7-64Home) as backup / news / forums

plus an iPad mini for on-the-go trading

plus a Galaxy Nexus for on-the-go-backup and to provide a WiFi hotspot (tethering) for said iPad mini

and yes, i can and have been logged into my account on all 4 devices simultaneously (gets kinda pointless though after the 3rd device)
