Plz someone help me… i don’t understand a short or long…
Going Long is when you purchase (a “buy” at the Ask price), with the intention of a higher price target than what you purchased for. Example if you go Long the EUR/USD, you purchase the base (EUR) with the intent of the EUR strengthening against the USD. If you go “short” you are selling at the bid price with the intent of buying back at a lower price later. If you short a currency you buy the quote currency (USD).
It’s easier to explain using equities but I think I got my point across. However I have only been studying this kind of stuff for a year so it’s best to hit the web and look at going Long and Short.
When you are going to sell any pair it is called short. And buying is called long in forex trading. For example You open any position on given price and put order of sell when maret will go down you will got profit. if you put buy order , You will have prfit when market will go high. With practice you will know either you should sell or buy on particular market move.
