I think that one of the most important thing is how much of your account equity you are willing to lose on a trade as the higher leverage hides its risks.
Everybody has their own choice, but I prefer to take a 1:00 leverage. This will keep me enter the market with good margin. That means If I deposit 500 USD , in my account I can control $50K.
You mean 1:100?
What is your plan for when the ESMA leverage cap gets in effect next week?
I also started my live trading with the same amount and my leverage was 1:100; till now I am trading with the same leverage although now I am trading with a standard account.
