Looks like you were beaten to it, by a few years? Babypips already has its own lesson and information on this!
Best ātimeā is when market is most efficient, when spreads are the tightest.
Yes agreed, usually the London and New York sessions have high liquidity where spreads tend to be tight.
the best time to trade forex really depends on when the market is most active since more activity means more opportunities the key is understanding the four main forex sessions which are sydney tokyo london and new york the most popular time to trade is during the overlap of the london and new york sessions because thatās when the market sees the highest volume and liquidity which often leads to tighter spreads and faster price movements using a broker (in my case hfm) can help you track these sessions easily and take advantage of the best trading windows without missing out
Personally the best for me is around the London open as I trade a breakout strategy around that, so 8-9am UK time.
Not that I am consistent with it yet!
Also I trade XAUUSD and the best time for that is when there is a lot of liquidity so the best time tends to be the London/NY market overlap or around 1pm to 5pm UK time.
Itās clear the ābestā time is very subjective and strategy-dependent. Iām curious, for those who are constrained to trade during less āactiveā sessions for their preferred pairs (e.g., trading EUR/USD deep in the Asian session due to work schedules), how do you adapt your approach? Do you look for different types of setups, focus more on range-bound strategies
My approach, also. I trade EUR/USD, and GBP/USD, and the best for me is when London and New York are both open, for 4 hours on weekdays.
I think the ābest timeā must vary according to which pair(s) you want to trade? Assuming that you need some volume and some volatility, it will therefore depend on the different global session times?
In your case, perhaps, more to which pairs the trill wants to trade?
I take your point, but the symbiont is not a trader.
