Personally the best for me is around the London open as I trade a breakout strategy around that, so 8-9am UK time.

Not that I am consistent with it yet!

Also I trade XAUUSD and the best time for that is when there is a lot of liquidity so the best time tends to be the London/NY market overlap or around 1pm to 5pm UK time.

Do you look for different types of setups, focus more on range-bound strategies

My approach, also. I trade EUR/USD, and GBP/USD, and the best for me is when London and New York are both open, for 4 hours on weekdays.

I think the ā€œbest timeā€ must vary according to which pair(s) you want to trade? Assuming that you need some volume and some volatility, it will therefore depend on the different global session times?
