What is the ideal level of education required to succeed in FOREX?

My name is Joe based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am retired, in fact, forced to retire and depend on miserable Government grants,
I started work as a cleaner in the municipality’s local government offices 50 years ago earning pennies a month, I was promoted and became a cashier in the government-owned liquor outlets, worked here for 5 years then went back to school to do matric s\and spent one-year studying law. I got married and got a job in a bank as an assurance broker, got tired of chasing clients, joined a skills training company, a job I enjoyed because it involved skilling young people in entrepreneurship.
I then decided to be an entrepreneur myself without any success I can boast about,
Here am I today learning to be a forex trader at the very young age of 74. I need a lot of os help because this is the thing I will do before I cross to the other side. I like what I see and hear from successful traders, there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. love you all and thanks for the opportunity Babypips.

You never stop learning mate

Welcome. Just keep things simple. Find out what suits your style and follow it. That’s your edge. Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.

best of luck.

totally agree with what steve369said, find your style and follow it. and also read some blogs, articles of wellknown traders

Your life story is quite motivating and I am sure with this determination you can master forex trading as well. To start from, get your basics right and begin practicing whatever you learn daily on demo accounts. I wish you all the best.

It can be tough as there is so much info out there but this can lead to a scatty approach to trading which will not work. As others have said find what suits you and then cut out other noise that might lead you astray from that.

You can earn huge money with the basic knowledge of forex.
