What is the list of Forex Calendar News that creates a big price strike?

Hello,

Could you please provide a list of Forex calendar news events that typically result in significant price movements (more than 500 pips) in the Forex market?

For example:

  • USD Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP): Average price movement is 500–1000 pips.
  • USD Consumer Price Index (CPI): Price movement ranges between 700–1200 pips.
  • CHF Consumer Price Index (CPI): Price movement ranges between 400–700 pips.

Similarly, could you please share a list of other high-impact Forex events that cause substantial price movements?

Note : Not all High Impact news create just big price change.

Thank you!

Depends on current market sentiment. 10 years ago, CPI wasn’t as big of a deal as it is today. Watch Bloomberg or a popular financial news outlet to see what risk events/headlines the market is currently anticipating.

They’re the ones shown in red on the calendar of scheduled announcements, and the financial instruments/currencies for which they typically result in significant price movements are specified.

The key word in your question is “typically”, because sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t, but nobody posting in a forum can give you a better or more typical or more accurate answer than the calendar color-scheme.

I understand. But in current market sentiments what are the events which can bring big price strike in the market.

I am aware of High Impact “Red” news in forex calendar but only few of them create big price change.

That’s right, but you won’t find regular, reliable patterns in the sense you’re looking for, of “which ones”.

It isn’t mostly about which ones.

It’s mostly about the extent to which each matches or mismatches its currently anticipated levels, as people were explaining above.

Right now in US… Unemployment rate, jobs reports & Inflation/price stability bc that’s the Fed’s dual mandate. Fed balance sheet, Fed speakers, changes in the rate cut/hold/rise expectations in the market: CME FedWatch

edit: Just noticed Fed QT odds of ending:
