Back to the OP question re MT4 & volume.
That indicator measures the qty of price changes within a specific time frame - tick volume
No contracts, lot sizes, amount of monies transacted - nothing except - volume of ticks.
If price moves within a scale of 1 to 10 - it hops directly 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 - within 5 mins - then tick vol is 10
If it hops 1,3,2,3,4,3,2,1,2,4 - tick is 10
If 1,5,7,8,10,9,10,9,10 9 - vol 10
No contract vol available in spot fx - tick volume can be used in analysis - much like candles.

I think that’s because each broker is reporting on transactions specific to their platforms, as you have pointed out previously. Taking into context that 90% of those transactions will run a loss, can we then not extrapolate or use that information in trading, as it is a reflection [not an exact one though] of the market in general, based on overall win/loss stats?
