Also do you need to leave your pc on for it to work?
If possible could you somehow activate it when your pc shuts down?
I will begin by saying that if you are new to the market stay away from anything automated if you value your money. Traders use VPS when using EA’s, the tech guys here can help you with this.
You can shut the screen but the cpu has to be running unless they invented something i m not aware of.
However, if you decide to go for automated trading systems, i strongly advice you to run the system only when you are monitoring and watching it for deviations and errors. In other words, YOU are the stop loss of the system when it does not work anymore. This happens soon or late and modern quant traders have a crew of observers to watch and monitor the system every minute of the day in case the markets behave in away that does not match the system. Most black boxes work for a limited period of time, from weeks, to years. The idea of going to sleep and letting the system make money is possible but then you run the risk of not being there (to shut it down) when things change and the box is not making money anymore.
You PC needs to be on but now a days you have laptops that consume very low power resources and the screen will go off after 10 mins but the laptop along with the Meta Trader 4 with the EA activated will keep on running doing its job
