What public holidays do I need to avoid

Hi guys, please I would like experienced traders in the house to suggest the public holidays I need to avoid while trading.

While I’m not a day-trader, given than more currency transactions take place in London than anywhere else, all the UK Bank Holidays as we call them would be on your list, especially when they coincide with US public holidays. Most of Europe was on holiday on Tuesday this week but who noticed? Japan closes down for something called Vernal Equinox Day - not highly significant elsewhere.

Thought most of the trading activities are done in New York and not London

London doesn’t just do more volume than NY, it does at least double the volume. More USD are traded daily in London than NY, plus more EUR than in the whole of Europe.

You’re a real workaholic

I’m personally getting ready to wrap things up for the week since Christmas is Saturday. I know some prefer to keep trading through the holidays but I always take a mini vacation for Christmas and new years, then continue normally around other holidays.
