What to use for trading journal

Hello,

What should i use for a trading journal? Meet pips will not install for me, so is there another option? Or should i perhaps just use an excel spreadsheet?

Hi NScrilla,

Have you had a look at myfxbook yet? An online journal that updates with your trades automatically via MT4. Otherwise, I’d recommend excel/something of your own creation :slight_smile: (there’s also an online version available, called TJS).

I have myfxbook for my EA’s and managing account performance. But does it contain functionality for me to record thoughts? For example, this week had a huge spike in the CHF pairs for my broker near open. It would be great to record my thoughts on this event so i can clearly remember it in the future.

You can also consider tradebench. They have a Free Online Trading Journal.

Good old pen and notebook. Journaling is overrated.
