Kids are always upset that their parents don’t buy the Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies, or the fruit roll ups. The kids see the commercials, and they start begging for those snacks.
Imagine being a kid, riding your bike around with your friends, and you guys are trying to figure out whose house to go chill and refuel at.
¨We don’t wanna go to your house. Your house ain’t got no snacks. Your folks are always telling us to eat some grapes and drink some coconut water. Let’s go to Jimmy’s house. They got tons of candy!¨
It’s hard to tell kids ¨no¨ all the time. It’s ok to have some ultra-processed foods. But they certainly shouldn’t be the bulk of your diet.

There’s nothing wrong with eating some ice cream. But washing it down with a soda is too much.
Honestly, I’m ok with just about any kind of cookies. I actually like the cheap ones. You get a big pack of these bad boys for about $1.50. Meanwhile, Chips Ahoy of the same size will cost $5.
For me, this is the grand daddy of all desserts. Carvel’s ice cream cake.
My mind was forever blown after eating this for the first time.
Not only is this cake made of ice cream, there’s a layer of fudge and chocolate crunchies (made of crushed Oreos maybe, I still don’t know) in the middle.
