He described his past as “poor choices”. Diabetes and ED are prizes he didn’t ask for. However, considering how well his channel is doing, and also considering the life he can provide his family because of his channel, I’m confident he would make those same sacrifices again for his family.
I’m not saying those are good choices, but this was his “way out” of the life he had.
The price for success is high, and some are not willing to pay it. It is what it is.
Sure, we wish we knew a different way at the beginning, but we didn’t. So, now, it just is what it is.
He made a big sacrifice for his family. I sure hope his wife is ride or die for him. Because he took a hell of a hit for her and their kids.
Trying to figure out who you are as a man can be difficult. And tunnel vision sometimes is inherent. We get so focused on working and obtaining more success, that it takes something big to snap us out of it.

If the government steps in to protect/guarentee/subsidize domestic markets, it never ends well (from what I’ve read).
The Japanese government protects Japanese rice farmers, and now rice is expensive in Japan.
