If you want to reuse your fryer oil, the key is to monitor the oil’s temperature as it heats, ensuring that it doesn’t surpass its smoke point. Keep an eye on the thermometer as you’re frying, and adjust the stove’s heat as needed to maintain the desired frying temperature.

If you fry often, it might be worth investing in an at-home deep fryer. Electric fryers make the process smooth and seamless for home cooks, automatically regulating the oil temperature and shutting down if it gets too hot. If you’re frying on the stovetop, you’ll need a large, heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven, preferably with high sides to keep splatters contained. You’ll also need a thermometer to gauge the temperature of the oil, preferably a deep-fry or candy thermometer, which can read temperatures up to 400ÂșF and usually comes with a clip that keeps the device affixed to your pot while cooking.

I don’t blame you. There’s chocolate, which is delicious.

And then inside that there’s peanut butter, which is also delicious.

That’s like putting a ham inside of a roasted chicken.

My ultimate weakness is ice cream. If left to it, I could eat a gallon in a day.

This is what I’ve been eating once every week or so. I used to get the pint size, but no more. I’m exercising self-control, and I limit myself to these small 6oz servings.

I just tried this. It tastes ok. It seems like a healthy supplement. I’d much rather this than a multi-vitamin pill. This is made from actual food, as opposed to being made in a lab. Plus, it’s organic.

Gut Well is a apple cider vinegar-forward probiotic shot with pre-biotic Irish Sea Moss gel. This shot has a sweet cinnamon finish, and it goes down much smoother than standard ACV supplements.

Gut Well is crafted with wild-harvested Irish sea moss, aloe vera juice, marshmallow root, probiotics, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon. Together, these ingredients help support healthy digestion.

I recently found these chips.

These are super crunchy! And non-gmo. Of course, that doesn’t make them a healthy snack–they’re still potato chips. But this is the healthier kind of potato chip. I don’t feel so bad eating these, but I have to remember that this isn’t a substitute for a real meal.

It’s an adjustment paying attention to organic/non-gmo. I had organic tomatoes for the first time last week. Roman tomatoes.

The flavor seemed the same, but the texture was mushier. But not in a bad way–just different. I could feel the difference when I was slicing them. Strange. Also, there was no greasy film coating like the conventional tomatoes. The regular ones have some type of oil or something on the outside. I don’t know what that is. Probably nothing good.

But I eat a lot of tomatoes, so I’ll be buying more organic tomatoes.

Yes, it is possible to wash dishes without using soap and water. You can use vinegar and baking soda to clean dishes and other surfaces. You could also use a natural dishwashing liquid or an eco-friendly detergent.

New study predicts 260M obese Americans by 2050

U.S. obesity reaches a ‘crisis point’

A new study that looked into the U.S. obesity epidemic predicted that 260 million Americans could be obese or overweight by 2050.

The study: It noted that obesity among U.S. adults and older teens has doubled in the last three decades. Being overweight and obese are among the fastest-growing risk factors for early death. Study co-author Dr. Marie Ng said the U.S. is at a “crisis point.”

Potential solutions: Ng said that while demand for weight loss drugs may increase, they’re “not a silver bullet,” and called for more focus on prevention, starting with pregnancy and infant feeding practices, healthier school meals and nutrition regulations.
