Hello, anyone planning on trading the US Sept NFP release? I’m trying to look for setups on the comdolls but I’m interested to know how you think the report will affect the dollar.
Will it react to risk (weak data = pro-dollar, strong data = anti-dollar) or fundamentals (weak data = anti-dollar, strong data = pro-dollar)?
I think that fundamentals is like gambling and too unpredictable. Price action is what I will be looking at. I will be looking for my system to tell me to buy or sell based on how price is moving

I was long on the USDCAD prior to the NFP release. However, two consecutive days of low volatility + unpredictableness of NFP made me close my long for a small profit. And good thing too, as the USDCAD tanked shortly after.
