I noticed that sometimes, when I place pending orders, it took longer to get activated. I want to know, when is the best time to open a trade, in GMT, so it will get activated in less than an hour and then price will move faster?
Hey,
The best times to trade I’d say are in between the London session and US session?
As for orders being hit, the levels I set pending orders are based on horizontal levels and retraces to candlesticks like the 50% retrace on daily chart pinbars and etc.
There is no best time.
If you are setting pending buys and the market falls it could be hours or days before it returns to your order, if at all.
The high liquidity time is, as Yaniu says, during the London /US session but if you’ve backed the wrong horse this just means price is likely to move away from you faster
The best time, if you want to call it that, is when your strategy tells you to enter a trade (order).
