When should I start with a demo account?

I’m just starting the School of Pipsology. I’ve been through some lessons already. But I haven’t read about brokers yet. Do I wait until I get to that section? I guess that makes the most sense right?

Finish whole course

Yeah, it makes sense to wait. Once you’ve got the basics down, learning about brokers will click better. You’re on the right path!

Okay I will do more reading. Thanks.

Ok that’s great. Thanks!

It makes sense if you want to do it that way. Given that demo accounts can be set up for no cost, you may want to try and see what happens if you trade on demo account and pretend you had not read Babypips course. See what the broker offers in terms of educational content and support. Choose one of the most popular in your country. If it can’t lose you any money, there is no risk to choosing a broker early, even if you change your mind later.

Trading isn’t an academic subject. It’s not the people who know the most who earn the most.

Trading is a craft, and what you’re doing when trading is using a strategy. No new trader can develop a totally new strategy, all “new” strategies are variants of existing strategies built on unchanging principles.

So you need to become experienced and competent in assessing and refining strategies. By using one, any one, you start learning how to judge and use strategies. Your first strategy will tell you a lot about trading, but very importantly it will teach you about finding the right strategy, for you.

for a demo account it is never too soon. just make sure you will not pay for the account. the sooner you start practicing what you are learning the better it is.

Okay, I was wondering, how in the heck will I create something like this down the road. Completely got me overwhelmed.
