I have had this question for a long time but never managed to find a reply through google. I know the market will not move unless you have those endless millions, but lets say theres a trader who has such capital and makes an xxx million trade and moves the market.
If he buys / goes long, will the candle stick be actually green and go bullish, to reflect his huge buy? or will it be red, since his buy occured only because there were that much sellers who filled his request?
(*edit iโm referring to forex here not stocks, though iโm not sure if it does make any difference)
If such a big player is buying actual currency, such as USD, then USD will rise. But it depends on what currency he โspendsโ to buy the USD. If he uses a lot of CHF to buy USD, then USD/CHF rises with a big green candle.
CHF meanwhile falls against other currencies as other players of equal size see this big USD buy using CHF and react accordingly. So if CHF falls significantly, expect to see JPY and EUR fall also against USD, while AUD and NZD might well rise against other currencies such as GBP. The rest of the market also see USD rising and might use e.g. GBP to buy USD.
sorry for delay in reply and thanks for the feedback
sounds a bit more complicated than i thought tho
I mean I didnt quite understand the first reply which involves other currencies when buying and selling USD
