Which of these 5 brokers?

It seems you’ve been scammed by some of the brokers, haven’t you? But don’t jump at conclusion =)

Hi all,

I’m demo trading with both ac-markets and Deltastock. It is too early to express opinions, I did not get comfortable with any of the two yet. I’m enjoying myself though.

I’d like to publicly ask for opinions about them, since there are some users in this thread ( eraning FXTINE, dpaterso…)

So far my criteria for a good broker are simple: no scam, please.

Cheers
Tiger

I’m not sure what this means:

eraning FXTINE, dpaterso…

I can only assume that it means ‘excluding’???

I need to say one thing here and then I’m done here:

WHY IS IT that THE MOMENT a broker has appointed IB’s (or whatever it is that you wish to call their ‘salesmen’) then ALL OF A SUDDEN the broker MUST be a ‘scam artist’??? I don’t get it. The CONVERSE of this viewpoint is this: the ONLY HONEST BROKERS MUST BE those that DO NOT appoint IB’s??? Is this LOGICAL???

Think about this: would YOU (if you were an IB for a broker) wish to be associated with a DISHONEST broker??? As the IB: would YOU like to have introduced a client to a broker and then have that client ‘dumping on YOUR head’ because they’ve been ‘scammed’??? What do you think THAT is going to do to YOUR PERSONAL reputation??? In ADDITION to this: has nobody considered the fact that it’s NOT in ANYONE’S interest (not the brokers’ and certainly not the IB’s) for the client to ‘wipeout’ their account (through ANY means possible)??? Once THAT has happened: NO MORE commission for the broker and NO MORE commission for the IB!!!

In the past three years (or so) I’ve received LOADS of ‘invitations’ from various brokers to become an IB of theirs. For the most part: I’d not ‘touch’ MOST of them with YOUR money let alone MY reputation. Appointing IB’s is nothing different from appointing ‘salesmen’. How well do you think Ford, GM, or Chrysler would do WITHOUT salesmen (admittedly the car manufacturers are a BAD example at the moment but I’m sure you get the point)??? Or could it be that Ford, GM, and Chrysler MUST make TERRIBLE cars because they have salesmen that sell their products!!!

Anyway: you KNOW where I stand on this and my offer of help to ANYONE is ALWAYS ‘on the table’.

Regards,

Dale.

As I said before I am trading with Deltastock and am personally happy with them. Good service, fast execution, tight spreads, variable lot size (minimum 1000), also Level2 available. Successful trading

None of em are any good. Try Jadefx or IAMfx,pure STP brokers

oooh, that 's a touchy point with all brokers 'cos you’ll find plenty a crappy word written in every forum about every broker, so the only way to know for sure is to open with the one you feel has been less dumped on

I am going to tell you who I have heard has a pretty good reputation. First as a novice many people speak highly of eToro’s plstform, it has visual simplicity and ease of understanding. IBFX also are well known, plus they offer you other markets to trade should you feel interested later on. Then there is the broker you are with, and I am with too, that is Advanced Currency Markets (ACM). They are execution specialists, maybe you noticed with the demo, and they stand by their guaranteed fills with market orders. Withdrawal is a sinch and quick too. One nice thing which unfortunately can’t see yet as you only have a demo is their new FX Insider which gives up to the second market news and trends and can even be filtered for only pertinent stuff. Are you using the Advanced Trader or the MT4? They are also one of the 3 or 4 swiss brokers that are also in line to get a bank licence as well, so this too will open up new tradable market opportunities in the near future.

As far as scam brokers go im afraid to say I haven’t heard great things about ACM, I wont be to hasty as I haven’t actually traded with them. They do appear to be a slick outfit with a visually pleasing platform but the reports i’ve read in the news and in the forums has put me off.

Sure, no one trying to push you into opening with ACM, like I said there are a couple of other brokers who I have heard some good stuff (and bad, like all) about. I see you are in Geneva and Dubai, 'cos you are often there you could pay them a visit and see what they are like. I checked out the Dubai site, acmdubaidotcom, I noticed that you can also trade Futures and Options on the DMCC…I was not aware of that

Yes I have noticed that, not sure exactly what service they provide with regards to the DMCC. the fact that have spelt futures wrong on their website doesn’t give me much faith with regards to this offering LOL

haha, i did notice…

Oh, well, I just don’t know. I’m more confused than before.

I’m trying to draft a list of requirements and must admit that the ‘Forex Broker Comparison’ here on babypips is golden.

Overall, discovering some bad news, some specific scams, not neccessarily big and loud, makes you question on your ability to find the right broker to give your money to. ‘Finding a broker’ is becoming another job, aside from demo trading.

Pakorafx, I never used MT4, maybe I should learn.

So far only trading by the guts was successful, so I guess I should extend my probation before going live.

Cheers
Tiger

None of these. I am trading with WSD. 0 comission on guaranteed stop loss orders, tight spreads, client segregation accounts to ensure safety of my funds, regualtion by NZX, outbeats rest of the brokers.

And what about ECN brokers and Market Makers? How does this fact affect your choice?

CMS, IBFX, FXPro, Fastbrokers or TADAWULFX?

CMS – no way… they run a proprietary platform (to me this is a bad thing) if you plan on running automation… then forget it! Their system will only let orders to be placed on the close of a candle! Well, unless this is your plan but that will rule out scalping! Also, they have a bad habit of requoting you to death if you are in a winning trade!

IBFX – if you like watching your spreads jump up by 20+ pips… go for it! These guys are the worst in my book! Their tech support is so bad that I got them so confused that the person on the IM actually disconnected me!

FXPro – they are pretty good… even though their price is lagging! But I have never had any interference from them with any of my trades! I just wish they would offer mini’s! I like the ability of fractioning my lot sizes (example… 1.43) it’s just a nice way to control my money management!

Fastbrokers – don’t know anything about them… so I could not comment.

TADAWULFX – NO!!! total crooks!

My choices…
FXDD - they seem fair… I have not had any problem with them regarding my trades… the only negative is their spreads are a little high!

Jade – Great!!! Super fast, very reasonable spreads and commission, great support! A lot of people complain about slippage… but what do you expect from a STP Broker??? You are playing with real time quotes!

PrimeBankForex – new… (actually not open yet) they offer STP service with no commission!!! Will they be good??? I don’t know! But right now I’m running a demo from them until they open and will try them out!

A quick note… in my opinion, people like STP brokers for automation… while I agree… I disagree with running an STP broker for a scalping EA!!! You are never 100% sure what you fill will be… and if you are running a scalper aiming for less than 5 pips… you will most likely lose!

Just my 2 cents.

Totally!!! But then again… it depends on what and how you trade! Example… running EAs I would not use and ECN/STP broker! You are never certain what your fill will be! I prefer using a MM with fixed spreads for EAs… I like the certainty! For manual trading STP all the way!!! Then again I only TF higher than 1 hour so if I get 5 pips slippage… who cares! My targets are in the 100’s anyways! But like I said… MM have their pluses and minuses! MM like to interfere with trades… that’s how they make their money!!! Simple as that!

Ohh… one thing I forgot to mention! Demo versus Real… personally, I use a demo account only for trying out a strategy… nothing more! If you use a demo to tryout a broker, you will be fairly disappointed! Demos almost always have perfect fills, very little lag, zero requotes… not realistic what so ever! So if you are searching for a broker… don’t base your decision solely on their demo accounts!!! Those are a marketing ploy to get you into their live accounts!

Rengoku, totally agree with your demo-statement. after all it is better to try and loose (at first, use small amounts of money) but to know what’s and how going on

Tadawul Fx is an EU regulated company. Maybe you do not know how to read, check them out and you will se that it is not a scam as you say.
