I know there is a fairly large community of EA and autotraders out there … I am curious to know how many are actually making a living from EAs and autotraders?

I am not using any EA on live account but I know someone who introduced me to Forex is continuously making money by EA for a living. Yes he is retired and like I said doing Forex for a living by the use of EA only for about one and half year. The only problem is that you need a big account size for EAs to make enough money for a living.

Like I said he is using the EA for the past one and half year only and his account is grown big because of that. So now idea about how things were back then in 2008. I am trying one EA on a demo account and during the past few days Market is very volatile and there is uncertainty too but the EA is pulling some nice small profits. I installed it on 10 June 2013 on two pairs so far on my demo account of 5000 dollars and it made 210 dollars so far with very little draw down. I will add the EA to one more pair once my balance becomes 5500 dollars.
Yes EAs do work but you need a sizable account size atleast 5000 dollars to start if you want to play safe. It will double your account in one year. Not every EA works good. I heard a lot of complaints about EAs but like I said You need a good EA and a good amount account if you want to make money and most importantly follow the rules mentioned by the vendor.
I don’t intend to share my ATS to the public ever. Sorry.

Lol jokes apart, I can understand your decision. I believe that EAs which made super profits are not shared by their authors at all.
The EAs are not shared, but their methods for making profits are all public. The only really secret EAs are the scam bots.

Short answer is it doesn’t.
Ask yourself, would you put $50K USD in one trading model that’s averaged 10%/month in backtesting or would you split it between 10 trading models that all averaged 10%/m in their backtesting with relatively negative correlation between each other’s trading history.
Ok, so you made a few “negatively correlating” meaning modeled on diff systems EA’s that average over 10% monthly ROI each?! I’d ask you to show me how to dougie bro?!

Where do I start, is there a program for writing Ea’s like Adobe Dreamweaver is for writing websites code?! I don’t feel like learning mql4 and trading at the same time bro. Helps me!
