Hi All, my understanding the FX markets can quieten down over the European summer, but have not seen it so quiet in November before. Any ideas as to why?
Not really true. Sometimes it get down but not always. You have to keep your eyes always in the market if you really wanted to do forex business. Forex market not moves like river flows. It has quite up and downs. You can trade with a very good broker which will help you to do the market analysis. You need proper market analysis. If you are able to do market analysis properly I think your problem will be solved somehow.
Does that mean there isn’t a particular season when Forex goes up and down? You mean you just have to wait and cross your fingers that today’s the lucky day?
Hey K. 11 18 16 - 12 2 16, range. So it is just a cycle. But it is never x month between x day and x day, you just have to recognize it, and either shift or stay out. This is what being a student of the markets means. Also, why doesn’t matter, only what. Like in what market am I in right now.
The Ever Studying VIPER
Hey, Kruger, I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m just sitting here on the sidelines while nothing happens. For instance, I find it weird that the USDMXN has now had 4 inside bars in a row. . . what?! And the EURUSD “spike” today is still within the very narrow range of the last 9 days.
I can’t find any specific reason for it, but it seems like the market is getting ready to get very volatile. Not sure that that means a huge bear or bull market for any one currency, but I find that traders can only stay still for so long. . . but I’ll wait them out and when I see the herd move in a direction, I’ll join them.
Thanks - I normally find a few trades to get excited about each week, but nothing at all this week which has surprised me. I thought coming into Xmas would be action a plenty - but no!
HI 3Bar, yes even the Big Boys are sitting on their hands this week. Not sure what they are doing to earn their big salary’s!!
We might find things go berserk next week to make up for it - potentially some big moves.
Hope you can ride a bull or bear then!
Consolidation period after the big moves a couple of weeks ago. Waiting for the tax plan. Also today’s a US national holiday and the period before a holiday is usually flat.
You can be sure there will be some volatility coming up to make up for this ‘rest’.
Hi Clemmo, thanks for your informed reply. The markets certainly have consolidated this week and makes sense if this has also coincided with the tax plan & US public hols.
Sounds like they will kick along from next week!
