Why is there no USD in the COT (Committment of Traders) Report?

I’m so confused why there is no USD in the COT report, it is the worlds biggest economy???

Could someone please shed some light on this?

PS: many thanks to those that have helped me trade and given me advice, it’s finally paying off as I’m becoming profitable on my demo account - a baby step in the right direction!

Hmm they do have US dollar index futures - so yes it seems a little weird
.
Go to Hedgeopedia they have COT charts there - would have thought it would be there

I think because all the currencies are quoted against the dollar in the COT.

I checked out the website but appear to be lost there :sweat_smile:. However, have you checked out Tradingster? The COT report data here is so easy to read, they also have charts and also represent the data in many other forms! I’ve attached the link to the CAD for you the check out!

This does seem to make a lot of sense, but could anyone clarify this? I want more evidence to know this is the case. I can’t seem to find any answers on the internet so my best bet is forums :slight_smile:

They are quoted in US dollars, but they still have US dollar futures so they should also have COT data too.

You could try downloading the weekly data yourself and see.

The currencies are as it is pegged against the USD, that’s why.
