why my broker(fxcm) isn’t open yet but market is already moving?
are there brokers that are open?
my broker(fxcm) says it’ll be open at 5:15 eastern
The market ismoving the whol of the weekend. But retail brokers close during the weekend due to inactivity in the market. It is very common. You could have found this if you searched for it on the forum.
You can convince yourself by checking it with different brokers. Retail market is 24/5 not 24/7.
Try using other brokers. different brokers open during different times.
The Forex market is officially closed over weekends and liquidity providers come back in at different times on Sunday, FXCM don’t take market orders before they have decent liquidity back which is why you can see movement but can’t place an order. The spreads at this time are prohibitive because of the liquidity issue so it’s worth waiting for the market to normalize anyway.
