Hi all, i was just wondering that many has said that spreads would widen during news time. So for example, if i place a limit order before news like 20mins, and if it gets hit during news time. Do i still pay for the high spread amount?
And how does a spread varies, would it be a higher impact news we pay a higher spread? thanks
Yeah man. During important news announcements, such as NFP, expect massive spreads.
Oh and I should add, you’re better off not trading during this period.
oh icic! thanks, cus i thought during nfp i could set a straddle on and go with whichever direction it burst out. Now that the spread is so high, i would have to re consider it.
