I’ve been with Zulu Trade since July 2012, first as a follower, now I’m also trying my skills as a signal provider.
I find it weird that there is almost no place to discuss zulu on the Internet, I mean Zulu Trade’s forums are a ghost town and most people who write there are signal providers trying to promote themselves, when I search in google msot results are from forums where people claim Zulu Trade is a scam or that it doesn’t work and they have lost a lot of money. The latter is true though, above 90% of the follower accounts I’ve browsed are in the red. However, there are very successful followers out there and I would like to talk with them. So, I assume there are a lot of people that feel the same as me since Zulu Trade claims there are more than 70,000 followers using its platform. From the people using Zulu Trade, how long have you been using it? Are making a profit and if yes what is your return? Which signal providers do you follow and why? And you can basically write anything that seems important to you.
I started very badly in my noob days in Zulu Trade after I lost over 1,600 pips during my first month after one of the two top 10 providers I was following went bust but I managed to recover in the following months. Currently my equity is around EUR 600 and I have made a profit of some 300 pips but am still at a loss of EUR 17 (but at a profit of some EUR 30 if you take into account the bonus I recently got from my broker AAAFX). I have open positions for +800 pips, which is normal because I’m following my own signal provider account which relies on very long term trade, usually positions are left open for about a month. I’m not following any other signal providers besides myself but I am willing to as long as I find someone I can trust.
im a zulu follower as well. so far im about $320 profitable, and have only been using it for about a week now. i second the request for your provider name … ill check it out too
not really to tell you the truth …I am also not really interested in the sessions…to me what matters is to only to be profitable, no matter @ what session they are trading. But what you could do, and I advice you to do so, is to actually go manually and see yourself what they are trading …pairs and all.
Thanks for that - my interest in the sessions is because I trade during morning/afternoon GMT hours. I just wanted to see if there was a way to get a better use of my time!
sure I see…well use the tradewall as well - you will see who is trading and how during you awake session time and then follow then if you like… simple as that
I was simply saying that so far, I have excellent gains for the little time I’ve been with them. I understand though, that the balance definitely fluctuates, positively and negatively; so this is certainly a long-term investment.
I’m starting to have some problems though. My trade history between Zulu and my broker, FXCM (US) isn’t matching. Zulu shows profits where FXCM shows losses. Broker ticket numbers sometimes don’t even match up. In the first two days of using Zulu, I found at least five closed trades that didn’t have the same broker ticket number on Zulu and FXCM.
Not sure if this is a Zulu thing, provider thing, or even a broker thing. Either way, I’m going to halt all trading activity on the account after I have closed most trades with a profit. If I can’t figure out where the problem lies, I think I may devote much more time to forex education, so I can start trading myself.
I’m trading as blue rose, lately it has been bad because of the surge of the yen. Can’t wait for that bugger to drop again. What is your signal’s name?
I am a follower mate.
Trading is really not my cup of tea. Tried though, cant lie, but it was more beginners luck rather than any viable strategy. So i am sticking with what I do best - following on zulutrade
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having these problems regarding a discrepancy in your trade history. I would encourage you to log a case using this online form. The Trade Audit Committee can then investigate what happened and follow up with you. If there was an error on our part, FXCM will make the appropriate correction to your account.
that’s all weird what you are describing. I think you should follow the above advice and contact both your broker and zulutrade to see what’s going on. For the first time in my following history I am reading an issue like this…i am actually a bit skeptical to believe it. Non-matching ticket numbers - its like telling me bank iban is wrong on both sides - your bank and your account number !! The way you state is sound a bit like spamming, mate…sorry to say that but it does. Should the problem consists go ask both support departments to investige it further.
This is my 1st post on this forum so I figured this was a great place to start as I am too a follower on zulutrade.
As of writing this it has been 5 weeks since my 1st position was taken and I am currently at $700 equity
and I started with $250 (real $$). This is about 180% ROI which to me is fantastic in such a short time span.
I should point out that the first 10-12 trading days I had some short gains but then some larger losses, actually
dropped to about $125 equity at one point and rallied after dropping certain SP’s.
The two SP’s I am following now;
Newwave
Rougenoir
I use Hotforex as my broker and so far have had no issues with trades not being opened or closed.
So far I am pleased with the zulutrade experience, I am however in the very early stages and understand that
things can change shockingly quick if you leave your account exposed and don’t watch out for SP’s changing their
style to abruptly.
Super stoked to be part of this forum, I guess I should have said a thing about myself but I kind of jumped right to
the thread :20:
hello there new follower! glad to have you contribute here as well.
Keep in mind no matter what you do, there would be time of losses as well. So, prepare a contingency plan - meaning, always zuluguard and do not expose to risk what you cannot loose yourself.
