Oh wow mate!
Wish I know about you earlier! duh !
This way was going to follow you - however not bad will demo you first and hopefully you continue the same results!
A warning to potential followers: You must have the MENTAL capacity to endure series of small loses and the NERVE of steel to let the winners runs. But the most important is RISK MANAGEMENT.
Of course not a problem. Sound logical only if kept low and not before bursting the follower’s account. What do you think the limit should be here: like risking 10-15% of equity?
Yeah…I would also like to know…what is the minimal required level for let’s say 600 usd account…
To follow my different accounts would have different equity. Below are my budget DD in pips for each month and if the unfortunate event that max DD is hit, PLEASE don’t let it be more than 20% of your equity.
Fxturtle - Only trades EJ. Max 2 positions open - Max budgeted DD per month: 500 pips
TP 1000 - Only trades GU. Max 3 positions open - Max budgeted DD per month: 1,000 pips
Fxturtle500 - Trades GU, EJ, GN, UJ, GJ. Max 5 positions open - Max budgeted DD per month: 2,000 pips
Fxturtleeu - Trades GU and EU. Max 4 positions open - Max budgeted DD per month: 1000 pips (Same as TP 1000 plus EU)
Fxturtleaud - Trades GA & GN. Max 2 positions open - Max budgetted DD per month: 1000 pips (500 pips for each pair)
Based on the above figures, you do the position sizing for each trade that if max DD is hit, you won’t lose more than 20% of your account.
Thank you for the detailed analysis!
I have an account of 1500 euros, so will follow - Fxturtle - Only trades EJ. Max 2 positions open.
I will disable all my Zulutrade accounts starting January 6, 2014 except FxTurtle 500. This account will mirror the performance of my aggressive account in term of pips starting January 6, 2014.

Zulutrade top ranking keep changing…really very few trader can consistently making profit.
This actually means that the traders that are having good profits are actually rotating - and that’s actually a good thing - diversity! Also, keep in mind that the ranking represents the trading behavior - and making money does not always mean that it has to be on the top 5 you are a newbie, you have still a lot to learn!
turtle,
For conservative traders:
Recommended lot size: 1 micro lot per $750
Expected draw down: 1,000 pips
Target pips per month: 1000 pips
this is a bit extreme for me! How about 0.01 lots per $500 and drawdown with no more than 100 pips.
Drop down of 1000pips would that a bit steep? It will blow follower account quite fast on a small micro account.
If you trade 1 micro per 500 then it will be moderate. However keep in mind that my maximum position is 5, so you need to have at least $2,500. DD of 1,000 is not to be expected, but only to prepare you that it could happen. A 1000 pips DD trading micro is $100 which is 4% for 2,500 account. It Never happened before, but it doesn’t mean I guarantee that it won’t happen.
100 pip DD, not me mate. Sorry.
Interesting strategy, fxturtle. Unfortunatelly virtual money are much easier to loose than live accounts. Hurts less!
What do u mean Virtual money? This account FxTurtle500 is trading a live account and so does FxTurtleAUD. Only FxTurtle account is sending trades from a demo account cuz that’s the way I started it. However, the EURJPY trades in FxTurtle is similar to EURJPY trades in FxTurtle500.
Cheers,
Thanks for the clarifications! Good to know you are putting your own money on stake here.
It rises your credibility!
In Fxturtle500, I only trade 1 micro because I trade a max of 5 positions, but in FxTurtleAUD, I started trading with 5 micro because I only trade one position at a time, I will only add if current position is already safe of a lose.
Cheers,
FxTurtle
Perfect !! Thanks for the clarification! I think a risk-averse strategy is what all we need
Happy pipping !!!
You cannot be too risk-averse trading Forex because this investment vehicle is inherently risky. Define your objectives in terms of how much risk are you willing to take.
Cheers,
Fxturtle
