system cycleanalitic @ Forex FactoryHi guys, i have come across a simple looking strategy and need helping turning it into an EA.

First off the strategy is not mine, i found it here:

The Strategy is:

Buy = semafor signal 3 AND Cycle_KROUFER <20
sell = Semafor signal 3 AND Cycle_KROUFER >80
exit New signal 3

On GBPUSD with 1H Timeframe.

I am wondering if anyone could turn this into an EA?

That indi is the “3 level ZZ Semafor”… be aware that it repaints heavily, so at least one signal in the strategy is not reliable…

Hi Yes i am aware that the Semafor 3 does repaint, but if the EA was scalping only a few pips a go could work out good :slight_smile:

I’d have no objection to scaping a few pips each trade if it was reliable.

I have used this system manually and it can be done

This is not exactly what you are looking for, but try “00ZZ Trader” (google it)

I have been testing and adding a few modifications to it for a while. It has promise.

Here’s my testing of it. I have been modifying it a bit, while running it in this account. That is why there are some big losses. It is running on all pairs. Using a basket close.

Also here is an older test. This was unmodified.

It is fairly customizable. You could use it as a scalper instead of using the basket close.

Interesting ill take a look at that EA you recommend thanks, do you find the modifications you have made have improved the EA overall?

In backtesting it looked better. Less DD, higher ROI. The forward test has not been going long enough to tell. The main mod’s i made were to limit the number of orders.
I have been trading the original version live and it is pretty steady.
Live trading I dont run ea’s fully auto. I use fundamentals (news, etc) to make predictions. Also I will intervene if the market does not do what the EA expects. At the moment I have most ea’s setup to buy USD currencies only.

Point being it is a good ea, but i dont run it same as in demo. Aim of the game is to make money, not gamble.

Quick answer.
I currently do not run any commercial ea’s live, (find me one that makes money and i will.)
I like EA’s that trade alot. more trades. more profit.
This one is a favorite. Based on CCI. really simple.

sorry, when you say this one on the myfxbook, do you mean 00zztrader? where do you download it?

No that one I call Daily Trend EA. It is just an example of an ea that makes alot of trades. It is not a commercial EA. You cant download it.

I trade alots of strategies in alot of accounts. This is just 1 that makes me good $.
