Autotrading Platform

I have no experience of Expert advisors. I trade on Zulutrade’ s autotrading platform cause I like to belong in a community, follow SPs and let them open positions in my account. Not always I have followed the right one but through recording I try to become better.

What’s the question?
I would recommend playing with metatrader 4 or 5 in demo.

Autotrading is the best solution for those who have little time available. Otherwise should be added an EA in MT4 MT5 in order to open positions. Personally I find Zulutrade more suitable to my trading style and I trust more a Signal Provider than a robot.

check out fxopen for mt4. Also Alpari.

However, don’t put blind faith into autotrading.

Have you already seen Zulutrade’ s “advanced search”, it will help you to filter out the Signal Providers by setting your parameters in the search.

at least they improved it. but it is not enough i think.

Yeap! Each user must have the last word cause it is about his money. Zulutrade helps us with the filtering of the Sps and we decide who and how will manage our money.

From now on Sps are not allowed to keep open positions which go lower than 700 pips. If they do so then their account will be banned or they won’t get paid. It is a kind of protection for the users. However I hope that I won’t see a -700 in my account.

Yep. I have read some comments of Signal Providers in the Zulutrade’ s forum. They have worried about their account and asked many questions about open positions and loss in pips…

This is an interesting addition. Hopefully margin call will not come right after -700.

For your own shake …don’t wait to see -700 in your account. Adjust the Stop.

In general I try to add in my portfolio only those SPs who set Stop and Limits. For me this shows responsibility of their side.

Balanced portfolios tend to have lower risk. Many currency pairs, different system’ s strategies. This way a bad trade could be covered from another one.

The more experienced we are in testing Sps the most easy is to understand when a Sp has to me removed from our portfolio or an adjustment in his settings must be done. Demos have helped me a lot with their testing.
it is like a good “driver” when portfolio is the “car”.

10 demos per email account can be opened, many sps & many settings can be tested

For how long should I test a new Sp in order to have a clear picture from the way he trades?

It depends. When I try to understand sp’ s strategy I test him till the time I see him repeat the way he trades. So I can come to the conclusion that more or less he will keep trading like this.

Thank you xara220.
I have noticed some of my zulu signal providers and realized that some of them are trading on news and some of them open trades a specific time of day in some currency pairs. I have adjusted their settings so I can’ t see their money management they do, how many lots they open. Of course the fact that I don’t know their capital makes it more complicated. Αnyway the important is that I see green trades. Hope when I become more experienced I will manage to decode their strategies.

Numbers and statistics are always telling the truth. Monthly PnL, worst trade, MaxDD% … keep an eye on them.

Zulutrade’ s ranking sometime includes not so good providers in its first positions. I try to search on my own as well.
