As a new trader not open real account unless you practice enough not less than six months

Study the trading strategy you wish to work with to the full extend of it on one or two pairs only. You can use demo accounts for testing your plan.

For every hour you spend looking at posts on Babypips also spend an hour doing the trading education course here: Learn How to Trade the Markets (babypips.com)

Using demo accounts is crucial. Practice with virtual money to improve your skills and test strategies without any risk. That’s perfect before going live!

Don’t hunt for the holy grail. It is a dead end that leads nowhere.

Great tips! The most important one, in my view, is to never invest more than you can afford to lose.

I’d add: start with a demo account to practice without risk and keep emotions in check.

Great statement, even though I do believe that you need to have good amount of capital to start investing. Overall, I’d say if you want to trade, trade the money that you don’t need.

Exactly, having enough capital is important, but only trade with money you can afford to lose.

I would say for beginners, get a trading system from here in the Forums and trade it on demo for 6-12 months. Every single week. Something that gives you a couple trades a week. Maybe even a couple trades a day. It gets you in the habit of looking at charts, placing orders, entries and exits, TPs and SLs, and it’s the best teacher. Watch the charts around news releases. Try to understand the market reaction. Sometimes the event happens in the same way it did the last time, but the effect on the market is the complete opposite. You have to figure out why.

Forex forums helped me, where I had the opportunity to communicate with various experienced traders, where we discussed and tested different trading strategies and indicators together. This helped me choose the best ones and create my trading strategy.
