Computer Builds

Alright let’s hear it. I know many of you here have quite the computers to trade or whatever else it may be while you wait around. So what kind of set up are you running? Pictures would be awesome!

Not my computer, just something neat I found online

100% of every single manual trade I have made in the last year, I executed with my phone. and I do roughly 80% of my charting with it as well…

And 95% of my posts on babypips…

Same here. iPhone Oanda app, and Trade Interceptor on the iPad. All I need and very mobile.

That’s great you two, keeping things simple. Manual trading is great for that, any simple laptop or desktop would be fit to do the job, making it one of the most flexible jobs out there too!

My set up is a little more complicated but I’ll share it after I hear somebody else’s more “intense” set ups, I’m sure there are several members in here that are computer enthusiasts.

Not intense enough huh… Man I’ve got this iPhone overclocked at 3.8 Ghz… Needed to install a muffin fan on the back… Custom built an external USB port so I can connect it to my 5 terraflop external hard drive too, and 50" crystal OLED display…

That’s funny because my CPU normal is 3.8GHz. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: 3.9GHz

Clark how old is your system? I build my own desktops but mine is 3 years old now tri core amd 3ghz overclocked to 3.3 and unlocked the 4th core. Only spent $700 on it a couple years ago. Mostly for WoW ;-D I’ll post complete specs later tonight. Don’t remember them lol.

I’ve got 6 builds, my most recent one is only a month old tops (OC’ed to about 4.8GHz with liquid cooling). My builds are all pretty new though, nothing older than 18 months really. I like to stay up to date; more powerful, the faster I get my work done.

No games whatsoever on these machines (despite the fact that I have GTX 680s on some but more to support my monitors), my gaming is done on my 2 laptops, the Thinkpad and Ideapad (love my Lenovos).

But again, I’ll give out my specs later.

Clark I like your computer build just one question. How come I dont see the most important part the chainsaw

Haha, yeah? What’s the chainsaw for? Hahaha

Your the computer expert here you tell me

I’m so lost.

Yes dude the chainsaw… I’m not a computer expert and I know what he’s talking about…

Now you guys are just $%&@ing with me.

Are you the only one that doesn’t know what they’re talking aboot? (practicing my Canadian)

It’s spelt “about” still in Canada… >_>

Ha! Like you’d even know! You don’t even know what the chainsaw is! Trollololololol

Chainsaws go hand in hand with manual labor.

Hard to explain that to someone that never works outside…

:stuck_out_tongue:

wow sorry clark I see I derailed yet another thread

Not your fault he doesn’t know what the chainsaw is…
