Yes, that would be ideal. I believe he is using FX Open. I will run a demo with them from Australia also. Jim and I were getting quite different responses from the same broker. Could be PC issues or IP latency, don’t know. I have switched my demo accounts back to XP, seems better but there are still issues.
found a glitch, with pending orders opening/closing at incorrect times.
Think this should fix it. Still thinking of best way to handle new day with existing pending orders:
a) modify prev day pendings or
b) close and reopen new pendings (currentt method).
anyway, just checking the new 26a and it’s steady on open pending orders, now.

Will do jbentz, I’ll throw it up right now and see how it works. Great work, well done, bravo!
You guys have been life savers!
Closed all my open trades I had with v24c, made +57 pips on the AUDUSD and NZDUSD trades I had open.
Setting up v26a now.
Quick question, with 26a there is no ‘fib too short’ option.
I typically use the distance between 110 to 131 as my fib too short. Maybe the next version you can have a min distance the user can input to enable to stay out of the low volume trades?
Thanks for everything so for jbentz!
Cheers!
Oh I did find something here. It opened pending orders accross the board, regardless of previous candle’s direction.
IE: GBPUSD’s previous candle was BEARISH, but the price was still above the 50EMA so it still opened a pending BUY order. Same thing occured with USDCAD.
The AUDUSD is right on the money, pending order is exactly the same as far as entry and SL is concerned. Previous day was a bearish candle under the 50EMA. Perfect set up!
Same with EURUSD (though I didn’t take this trade manually, the fib distance was ok at 18 pips, just a gut feeling though, it’s been trending up for a long while so it’s due to even out and range soon!)
cool thanks time to restart testing lol
maybe the differences you guys got we’re due to the old bugs in the old EA which James had now fixed? Would make sense.
Am I the only one using fxcm?
Guess I should learn how they setup mt4 with their platform and test it.
My demo and live accounts are with HotForex.
For those interested these are the demo accounts i have running, each EA is running a separate MT4 account.
For the v25 EA this has only been running for a few days, and i have been using one account for previous versions from v24 upwards, so take a look at the description to see what days it has been running from and until. Also the huge losses on the v25 daily EA from the last week was not the EA’s fault but mine as i closed all open trades to upgrade the EA which in hindsight i should not of done.
Im not completely convinced having the EA on H4 has any advantage over the daily chart, seems a bit and missed compared to being on the daily chart. I have placed the new EA on both the daily and H4 chart just so we can see what happens.
But im quite certain i’ll just end up trading it on the daily chart only. Also i have left the v25 EA running so we can see the difference between the two EA’s. This is just to ensure the new EA (v26a) works fine and also so anyone wanting to check the difference between the two strategies can compare them side by side.
I do have faith in Windsors updated strategy and James new EA, so just use v26a only unless James releases a new version, the old versions are just so we can see how good the updated strategy is as i am curious to see how it performs and i do want to see what losing trades the updated strategy avoids.

Ok, well that obviously isn’t supposed to happen. The code switches the fib from long to short or back depending on the current price being above or below the 50ema. It should not be opening anything but pending in the direction it is supposed to go. Might be some initial load issues, while the ea figures out which way things are going.
Will add the min pips input. right now, it will open if allowed, no matter how close, as long as the broker/platfrom allows it, regarding stoplevel.
Have to work on it later tonight.
Wait, just re-read your post. You said it opened long when the price was above the 50 ema, which is correct I thought. And in the currentl rules posted a few pages back, you didn’t mention the candle direction, just how you drew the fibs for long vs short. So, correct, the currently reworked EA no longer monitors the last candle direction regarding entry, only the position relative to the 50 EMA.
So, adding adding back in the filter for candle direction, and min fib size filters on next version 27 coming.
I KNEW there was a reason for me not starting till Jan 2 Just kidding.
Yeah, that and I noticed that v26a has even more issues closing and opening pending orders excessively
I apologize to those taking the time to install it.
I did not notice it on backtest because compressed BackTest Time passes quickly, and does not show the issues of the clock ticking away while everything is supposed to remain stable.
This one, I left in some “debug” comments on upper left. A “0” before the description means condition fails, a “1” before description means condition is met. Will explain when you don’t see a pending trade open where it looks like it should be, if you find a zero, it will tell you which condition is preventing the pending trade from opening.
you can turn off the comments with last input setting “debug=false”

Up about 700 pips over the last 2 weeks I’ve been running the EA 24/7, Just remember its over about 25 pairs though haha.
3 pairs have only hit the TP, GBP/CAD, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY with CHF/JPY hitting it any minute
Nice if you dont mind me asking what size account are you running and what’s the drawdown like?
its a $1500 capital account but only running 10 cents per pip trades, (just testing with 25 pairs, dont want to be risky haha), my profit since the 17th (when I started) is $73.50 with drawdowns at 1.43%
cool was this your live or demo account if you dont mind me asking ?
Thanks

Thanks lol
In the future do you plan on trading with all the pairs or will you be limiting trading to just a select few your finding works well for yourself? (if so would you mind sharing these pairs please).
Cheers
I will update you as I get more information about my trades
