This was a nice trade. my question is … how did you identify this was the trade you were going to enter. is it simply making sure that you see all the indicators in the correct direction on any time frame . e.g if i see that the all the indis on GBP/JPY are pointing down (Slow Stochastic just crossed out of overbought line and the CCI to have broken below the +100 line) on the 15TF and there is a cross candle pointing down do i enter short on this trade ?. Or is there more to it then this ?
good morning trader. this is good system.my opinion is before becoming a watchmaker (TF 15 min) is recommended to work on clocks (TF 1H).:D:D:D:D
Hi Maurizio,
Today I have taken two GBP trades but I am not sure whether my entry is correct.
GBP/USD Short Entry price 1.5675
SL 1.5694 ( Higher than the recent high and higher than the downard trendline)
TP will monitor the trade
When I took this short trade I am trading away from MA 50EMA of 4HTF (which is good) but for the lower TF I am trading towards the MA. Does this limit my chances of success.
GBP / JPY Short entry price 141.115 ( price bad as I placed the GBP/USD trade before switching to this chart)
SL 141.394 (this is the MA 50EMA which has been acting as a strong resistnce on the 4H TF)
TP will monitor the trade
This trade is away from MA 50EMA of 4HTF, which is acting as a strong resistance, towards MA 50EMA on 1H and 30M TF and away from MA on the 15M and 5M TF. ( I am more confident of this trade)
Can you pls analyse and comment on my entries.
Cheers

Thanks for your effort on this ema system.
Kindly tell me the settings of this ema.
Ema 1= is it apply to close or open or high.
Ema 5= is it apply to close or open or high.
Also the rsi 14, is it apply to = open or high or close.
Also the cci 20 = is it apply to = open, or close or high.
Pls just tell me all the settings of the ema, and how i can attach it to my platform.
Thanks for your quick reply.
Happy trading
Maurizio uses the settings on the Oanda Platform. I tried various combination for Meta trader platform inorder to replicate the Oanda settings but was unsuccessful. May be there are other traders who have managed to do so. I have switched to Oanda platform which does not have the options for applying the settings to Open, close etc…
Cheers
I believe M.'s settings are MT4 as the EMAs are smoothed and applied to median price, something you cannot do with Oanda (my preferred platform.) With O. you cannot even “thicken” the lines like he suggests. I haven’t been through the whole thread recently so maybe he changed to Oanda but the setting in post #1 are for MT4. I am waiting for him to send the ebook and I’ll double check the settings. d
edit: SORRY, I got my two strategies mixed up. The Smoothed, Median stuff is for the Koala. M. does use O. and you just have to accept their default settings for the most part. Hope i haven’t sent you down the wrong track. d.
Thanks for the clarification. In case you want the E Book I can email to you.
Yesterday and today has been bad for trading due to very low volume / movement of PA
Cheers.
you can use also the stochastic and pivot analysis with the EMA a confirmation. it is also simple.
Has it?
Remember what you’re looking for…
We have an interesting setup on the 3hr E/U developing, this seems consistant with a possible channel dive. Although i usually only use this with the Yen crosses, it would be rude/silly to ignore such a good signal.
We have a possible 3Hr entry on G/Y building up, it’s in a channel, overbought, high on the Bollinger Bands… keeping my eye open on this one.
We have also had some nice movements on the lower timeframes today…why? As explained, just because there is low volatility doesn’t mean you can’t trade, it just means looking at a lower TF to see where the range is most profitable and the entries are easiest.
4 Trades on G/Y this morning, all winners, all strictly by the book. One trade still ongoing…this is happening now guys!!!
+17, +30, +23, +30…and one still in…currently +11 but i expect it to hit the top BB.
As we can see, there ARE trades happening…Just because there is low volatility does not mean there are no trades, just go lower, find what TF suits the system.
So, my final trade before lunch has just hit its target of the opposite BB. Closed out as it hit the BB for +22. That+122 pips for this morning, no losses.
This is happening now guys.
Will try an post some more this afternoon if i’m not too busy as i have been skiving all morning

Hi Maurizio 77,
Thanks for posting your trades. can you pls analyse my Trades in post 864 as both went against me.
I am posting the trades that I took yesterday. The timing on the chart is EST. 3 trades were against me, the 4th was BE and the last one is current one. Sometimes I wonder I must have 5M, 15M and 30MTF in my favour before entering the trade i.e for long trade all above TF the CCI should be leaving the -100 line and the Stochastics should be below 20 and heading up. For short trades the CCI should be leaving the 100 zone with stochastic above 80 and heading down. If the 15M and 30M TF are not aligned with the 5M TF then I should not enter the trade. If this is the correct method, then should one be looking at the signal in 30M TF and then look at 15M TF for alignment and lastly go to 5MTF for a good entry OR should it be whenever there is signal on 5MTF, we should look at 15M and 30 MTF to check if all are aligned in one direction and only then enter the trade. What do you think about this. Also are you looking at the daily pivots or Fibonacci pivots for the TP targets.
Am getting a bit nervous after taking losses during last two days.
Your comments and analysis would be highly appreciated.
Cheers
Entered short on 5M TF and then moved to 15M TF. Now it seems that I may get busted.
i would also lilke to know what Maurizio thinks of your trades and the timeframe issue … do we only enter when say all 5 15 and 30 min timeframe signals are pointing in one direction
ive been trying to trade this system but it is just too hard … im sure im doing right … how does Maurizio identfy which pairs to trade. i keep entering a trade with all the correct signals and then it just retraces or i get stoped out
do i just look for the correct indicator positions on any pair … then trade
OK, i have changed my TF on Oanda to keep up with what you’re doing because trying to translate PA with 2 different Timezones is a nightmare.
This trade should have ended up as VERY profitable.
It was a bit of a strange entry as you were selling in an obvious uptrend, did you check your charts from daily down? Draw up channels?
Luckily PA had hit the top channel line and was rebounding downwards in your favour. This was a perfect entry! I hope you stayed in it because it was a beauty!!! (I was at lunch when this happened and how gutted am i…i didn’t enter this trade until ALOT later!)
One thing i would say though, once your first entry’s (5M) PA has hit the opposite B/Band line and you switch upwards (15M) you have to forget about the 5M because you’re no longer trading it’s rules…you’re trading 15M rules, and so on and so forth…
So, lets analyse your trade…like i said i have adjusted my settings so the times and candles we are talking about should be exactly the same as yours.
This was a classic Timeshare on the EMA STEP.
As stated 8 hours ago in post 871, although this rarely happens on this pair as they tend to trend, when you get such a strong signal, it would be foolish not to take it.
+122 from this morning, +140 just closed.
+262 Today - No losses.
Sorry, got +96 off GBP/JPY trade too.
Makes +358.
just came across your thread, looks great and thanks for all your time and effort to me, i would be very grateful, thanks
How can i get e book, thanks
Thanks for the analysis. After entering the Trade on the 5M TF I realised that I was going short and trading towards the MA, which is not a good idea. Therefore, as soon as about 8 pips were in profit I closed 1 lot and moved the SL down to Entry Price + 8 pips (which was higher than than the Central line of the BB on 15M TF) Alas the SL got triggerred, I was out of the Trade and then the PA tanked. Even at that time I knew it was a good move but as it was past my bedtime as well as low mood I didnot get into the trade again.
It seems that I lost out on this one due to poor Trade managment as I should let the Trade have some “breathing space”
How about my other trades which went bust. Did I do anything wrong in those??
Hoping for a better day today.
Cheers
PS Thanks for your time and patience to adjust your platform to analyse my trades. Also noted that when I move to higher TF I should not look back at the lower TF to avoid confusion.
