MARKETS

Gold Spot traded at $1,583.30 in Asian hours down 5.5 % this year. The price dropped to $1,555.55 on Feb. 21, the lowest since July 12, A fall in February for a fifth monthly loss would be the worst run since 1997.

[B]COPPER[/B]
Copper dropped to a two-month low onMonday, in Asia tracking weakness in the European market in the previoussession on concerns over the pace of global economic recoveryand the outlook for the U.S. Federal Reserve’s easy monetarypolicy.

[B] OIL[/B]
Oil prices rose on Friday as German business sentiment improved, but crude futures still fell by the weekly margin of 2013 after a sell-off in commodities markets earlier this week. Brent crude rose 57 cents to settle at $114.10 , but was down 3 % on the week. U.S. crude futures rose 29 cents to settle at $93.13 a barrel, but were down 2.8% this week.

Copper rallied on Wednesday after the U.S.Federal Reserve reassured investors of its commitment to loose monetary policy, helping prices pull away from two-month lows hit the session before. Three-month copper up 0.74 % to $7,916.50 adding to small gains from the previous session.

[B] OIL[/B]
Brent crude oil fell to a one-month low under$113 a barrel on Tuesday on worries about an inconclusive Italian election that revived investor concerns about instability in the euro zone and threatened the outlook for fuel demand. Brent crude hit a session low of $112.61 a barrel,its weakest since Jan. 28, and was down $1.70 at $112.74. U.S.crude oil was down 65 cents at $92.46 a barrel, after touching a low of $91.92, a level not seen since Jan. 4.

Spot gold flat at $1,598.76 in Asia down 3.9 % in February. Gold April rose 0.1 % to $1,597.90 , Silver gained 0.2 % to $29.0725 , Platinum was little changed at$1,598.25. Palladium gained 0.3 % to $745.40 an ounce, heading for a fourth monthly advance in the best run since January 2011.
