Going offshore to escape the CFTC

Is this on their JForex platform, or on MT4? Thanks!

deposit money into your coinbase account then open account with coinbase pro, in your coinbase pro account do a deposit and use your coinbase account, now you can buy and sell also send and receive cpyto currency using your coinbase pro account

i love coinexx so much i move some chump change over there, this broker is unbeatable at the moment.

my current brokers are fxchoice, tradersway and now coinexx. maybe in another 6 months are so we could be adding this broker to the trusted list but lets see how it goes.

have you check LQDFX reviews, there getting hammer on forexpeacearmy

I wouldnā€™t be so trusting of Coinbase. Heard too many horror stories of peopleā€™s accounts being closed for no apparent reason. Plus bad experience with them a couple of years ago.

Since then I take the extra step to maintain a personal crypto wallet where I own the private keys, and use other methods for cashing out besides Coinbase.

DUKASCOPY exchange Market Depth.

First of all, Live accounts not available to U.S. persons, but DEMO
accounts (perpetual renewability) available to any Dukascopy
Community member. Their JForex3 platform is quite sophisticated,
but it doesnā€™t interest me. I use their API ā€¦

Anyone who thinks they can trade by ā€œeyeballingā€ the Market
Depth is wrong, kidding themselves, and probably gone broke tryingā€¦
Market Depth analysis must be done statistically, and through
a direct feed into an algorithm which knows how to handle the
information, and present it in a way that is effective for trading
decisionsā€¦

Iā€™ve spent more than a decade working on this stuff, and am able
to synthesize Depth of Market Trend (price moves to size)
which is an underlying Price Trend before Price actually moves,
and a Virtual Time and Sales, which enables
sophisticated Order Flow and Risk analysisā€¦

But ā€œdonā€™t try this at home, Kidsā€, as they sayā€¦ This is the
stuff you can waste a decade working onā€¦ lol

[EDIT] Dukascopyā€™s MT4 implementation, which just appeared
yesterday, will have no usable Market Depth, even when they
move to MT5 (if ever). Their API (not MT4) provides 10 levels of Market
Depth on both sides of the market (always 10 items) regardless
of how densely or ā€œsparselyā€ the DOM is populated at that
moment; hence the need for intensive statistical analysis far
beyond what most would be able to doā€¦ sorry. If it were
easy, everyone would do it ??? I wonderā€¦ lol

[EDIT2] My main work these days is in Currency Trend Analytics,
for Forex. But just last few weeks, the Book Trend and Order
Flow has been able to be factored in, from a Dukascopy feed
sourceā€¦ So I call this ā€œtriangulationā€ of the market, looking
at 1) Currency Strength Trend, 2) Book Bias Trend, and 3)
Order Flow and Risk . all in real timeā€¦ itā€™s a lot to integrate
into an automated or manually based trading approach.

[EDIT3] WE NEED ACCESS TO THESE QUALITY OVERSEAS
BROKERS, which is the whole point of this thread @Clint
has been so good at maintainingā€¦

ok, i move a lot of money around with these guys for years, i use the coinbase pro / gdax never no problem here

I just tried this procedure, and it didnā€™t work on the coinbase end, though it does look as though it works on the coinbase pro side of things.

In other words, coinbase pro appears to enable me to send and receive bitcoin, but coinbase does not allow me to send ā€“ not even to my coinbase pro account under my same name, login, and email address.

But coinbase did hit me with a round trip set of transfer fees to add funds from my bank account, convert them to BTC, and then convert them back to USD, amounting to about 23% of the amount withdrawn from my bank account. Still not able to withdraw the remaining funds back to my bank account for their hold period, 32 days.

Not too happy with coinbase!

i donā€™t get what your saying, if you use coinebase to do a ACH transfer from your bank itā€™s free and instant now, you send those fund to coinbase pro free of charge, then you buy your crytpto currency then send them from your coinbase pro account to your broker, when you withdraw from your broker you use coinbase pro they will give you address you use that and your crypto currency will show up in your coinbase bro account then you sell them on coinbase pro now you send those funds to coinbase and do a ach transer back to your bank witch should be in there in a few hours

  1. add money to your coinbase account by using ACH from your bank itā€™s free and your money will show up instant.

  2. go to your coinebase pro account, hit deposit and click coinbase so you transfer your money from coinebase into your coinbase pro accountā€¦

  3. use coinebase pro to buy your crypto currency , use limit orders so you donā€™t pay any fees

  4. select withdrawal from your coinebase pro account choose your crypto currency now use the address your broker gave you to send your crypto currency to, broker receive your crypto currency .

  5. to withdraw crypto currency from your broker select the crypto you wanna withdraw from you broker and go to your coinebase pro account and hit deposit and check your currency and they will give you a address, give that address to your broker and now your crypto currency .will show up in your coinebase pro account.

  6. sell your crypto currency on coinebase pro, use limit order to avoid fee.

  7. now withdraw you fiat currency from coinebase pro to coinebase instant and hit withdraw to send it to your banck ACH and it will show up in your bank within a few hours

the only thing you use coinebase for is to do ACH tansfer from your bank, you do all your buying and selling sending and receiving on coinebase pro

Thank you so much SmallPaul, for helping me do what 2 customer service reps at Coinbase were not able to do: ONLY use regular coinbase to get the funds out of my bank account, and do EVERYTHING else in Coinbase PRO. Thatā€™s where I slipped: Doing the conversion to BTC in regular coinbase.

Still, ALL funds are on hold at present.

The funds I deposited to regular Coinbase, now back in USD, are on hold for 32 days. Perhaps thatā€™s based on my account age and level ā€“ I donā€™t know. Still, I will try the rest of the procedure you outline when they become available.

I also tried again, with one change: Depositing USD directly from my checking account into Coinbase PRO. Those funds are on hold for ā€œonlyā€ 8 days.

The trick is, when clicking on ā€œDepositā€ in Coinbase PRO, to select ā€œUSDā€ as the currency type ā€“ NOT BTC. When you deposit USD to Coinbase PRO, several options are available; when you deposit BTC to Coinbase PRO, they give you the BTC address, and itā€™s up to you to send the funds using that address. Itā€™s that last part that got me stuck at regular Coinbase.

Fortunately, Iā€™m doing all of this trial and error stuff with minimum amounts.

Ouch!

Iā€™ve registered with them, but havenā€™t made a depositā€¦ yet.

Iā€™d love to hear other peopleā€™s experience with LQDFX. It does seem like they are in total damage control mode over at Forex Peace Army & other places.

Bummer, 'cause I would love to trade gold in combos other than XAUUSD!

you can try one of the brokers on the trusted broker list on this thread

dude donā€™t wait that long, open account with a broker that take bitcoin or any other coin.

send your funds from coinbase to coinbase pro, buy your coins on coinbase pro and send them from coinbase pro to your broker and start trading.

make sure when you do your broker withdrawal you send them to coinbase pro where you can sell them for fiat currency then withdraw your money.

I just double checked. Funds at both coinbase & coinbase pro ā€“ small tester deposits from my bank account in USD ā€“ are both showing in my balance, with $0 available on both, during the 2 waiting periods.

Otherwise, Iā€™ve got accounts at finpro with a small balance I was looking to increase; and new accounts on coinexx and LQDFX which are not yet funded.

Regarding LQDFX, I notice a lot of the negative feedback is from their US customers & most of the positive feedback is from their European customers.

i see what your saying, they hold your funds when you buy on coinbase. damn that sucks

Currently looking at turnkeyforex website & will probably register & take the weekend to figure out what I want to do next, before the FOMC meeting.

Iā€™m still digesting your reply.

So far, Iā€™m pleased with my Dukascopy demo account. The bid/ask info is just one piece of technical info they offer.

They send me a nice little market news email at European mid-morning time, M-F. Looks like a proper technical report that youā€™d expect from a Swiss Bankā€¦ no nonsense, right to the point and relevant.

Just trying to be helpful. Lots of complaints about Coinbase on various crypto blogs. I hope your luck using them continues!
