Going offshore to escape the CFTC

I been looking at their reviews most complaint is about bonus and withdrawal problems, can’t find any type of scams going on but some customers say they never got paid, so who knows

btw most of our so call little brokers have been doing a excellent job and the main thing is they pay withdrawals :+1: no complaints on my end

Looks like they don’t accept US clients. That can be one reason why we didn’t hear about them.

They look pretty shady too. 3000:1 leverage, 100% bonus. Hard to believe 16 million clients trade here.

Straight up casino style there :upside_down_face:

Someone tried to withdraw over 5k from my Coinexx account today. I am waiting to hear how this can be possible with 2FA enabled. Anyone here have trouble with Coinexx recently?

The support guy I chatted with said he was “esclating it to the back office” and I would receive an email about the details of the withdrawal request.

I’m really disappointed that 2FA doesn’t seem to be as secure as I had thought it was. What extra security measures are possible?

Sounds like a decent experience tbh.

Any new account or wallet address for withdrawals should be white-listed with KYC requirements. If a withdrawal request is made to a non-white-listed location, then the withdrawal request should be denied and a call to the account owner should be made.

This should solve most problems and should be reasonable for both sides since it would seldom occur that a new withdrawal location would be added. KYC technology is advanced enough now that it is very difficult to fake and if they have your original KYC documents for reference, then any attempt at theft should be extremely difficult.

Understood. I’ll never know in this case because the bogus password change confirmation appeared and I was online with support immediately. While in the process of explaining things and sending screenshots, a withdrawal confirmation appeared in my inbox which they stopped.

I can’t work out how they bypassed 2FA and got so far. It’s troubling.

lol, i kind of heard of them but never knew they are as large as they claim :upside_down_face:

It depends on how things are set up. If your Coinexx account or your email account are compromised, then it can occur that way. Sometimes, if the person knows your phone number or figures it out by accessing one of the aforementioned accounts, then they can try to call your phone carrier and get special access through them. Phone numbers can be spoofed and calls/texts can be forwarded. If your mobile device is compromised, then that is obviously a way in as well. Certain trojans and keyloggers can also acquire data for access. Coinexx site or personnel could also have been compromised.

I would also be very concerned. I would scan your computer and then reset your account passwords immediately. If you can get away with factory-resetting your mobile phone, then that might be a consideration. Beyond that, I would have a serious talk with Coinexx about what they can do to accommodate you so that this cannot happen again (such as white-listing your withdrawal locations and denying all others).

No matter what was done to access your data or what you do to safeguard it, Coinexx is the gatekeeper that ultimately decides if you lose your money or not. So, I would focus on that as your point of weakness.

I use extremely random, extremely complicated passwords from a personal generator for everything online, but I guess anyone can just ask for a password reset and they get one granted?

This happened with Facebook a year or so ago, one of the reasons I’m not on Facebook anymore. Some rando requested a password change to my account, and Facebook gave it to them. LOL

I had a long discussion regarding this issue with my Coinexx Account Manager once, and she mentioned to me that such occurrences are rare in Coinexx, and even if my account gets hacked, the max a hacker can do is raise a withdrawal request. But the request will be denied by the backend team while processing the withdrawal.
My suggestion would be to not use different computers to access your Coinexx portal. Second, as suggested above, you can request Coinexx to always give you a call before processing your withdrawal request. Third, do not change your wallet address. Keep it constant so that if ever there is a request from a different wallet address, it will be noticed.

Just received this quite a unique offer from TurnkeyForex. Sounds too good to be true to me!

Read carefully the T&C mate.

I was just browsing the Broker list, and saw FX Glory also has 3000:1 leverage. I have an account with them but haven’t explored or traded with them yet.

That size leverage gives me a little pause though.

Has anyone tried negotiating for lower commissions from any of the listed brokers?

Right? lol

I’ve tried in the past and was promptly laughed at. They would but with much higher volume and size then I could muster.
