Have heard good things about scion forex autotrader, has anyone tried it before?

There is photonVPS which is pretty good too. I had some good support from them. I think Scion Forex only suggested hostingsource because it is cheaper which it is but I am sure there are other great VPS’s too.

I completely agree. That would be an excellent ROI. If an EA can produce 200-300 pips a month on a consistent basis trading 1 or more standard lots, I would be absolutely thrilled!

Thanks guys, I will look into the various VPS you have all suggested. Cheers!!

Sell Stop order on EURUSD in progress. Anybody else is seeing this?

Pips, I don’t know how to see the trades in progress. Does it show the Sell Stop price? I’d like to follow it on my non-EA account with FXCM. Thanks.

Make sure you can see the Status Bar and look at the Trade Tab. This is where you will see all your trades in progress.

Okay. Thanks! Can this be done if the MT-4 is in a VPS? On my MT-4 screen which is dark blue, there is nothing.

Log into your VPS and your MT4 terminal should already be active. On the Menu>View>Terminal. Then look at the bottom, below the charts under Trade tab.

Yes, got a sell order on EUR/USD. Would love to see what happens!

The sell stop trigger is 1.2739. But supply and demand on the 1 hour chart is showing support at the 1.2750. But let’s see what happens. :22:

Big winner! +1.2 pips in a quick 3 minute trade! :18: But hey, a winner is better than a loser! This is what a “safe money management strategy is all about!”

So please share what your pip trade amount was, so we can compare.

+3.4 Pips here, I agree, all no loss trade is a great trade…

+3.5 for me! Looks like they got out earlier on this one to. Market reversed. Good move on their part.

+2.9 here. Anything on the plus side suits me just fine.

Huh. This is the first trade that I didn’t receive ar all when most others did. :frowning:

Do you have spread protection or cheat execution enabled?

@ mary4x:

Since you and I have the same broker (Tallinex) and VPS (HostingSource), I’m curious to know how many pips that EURUSD netted for you?

I really don’t know why I’m consistently getting lower pips than everyone else… The sell trade opened @ 1.27380 and closed @ 1.27368 for +1.2 pips. Others got 2-3 times more pips than I did. This can start adding up big time when trading standard lots. Any ideas out there folks?

One possible reason for less pips in Tallinex is the spread, for example the Spread in EURUSD in ICMarkets is about 0.5, the same than Tallinex ECN-Pro, but Tallinex ECN Micro has about 2 pips of spread in EURUSD… what kind of Tallinex account do you have bbatis?

Yes Bacon, I really think there is any problem with that…

bbatis, I also have Tallinex and on Beeks VPS. This sell trade opened @ 1.27389 and closed at 1.27360 with a gain of +2.9 pips. It’s obvious there is latency between executing and receiving server be it VPS or home PC. Not sure why your sell stop order opened later than mine if it was from the same trade.
