I just implied that. Scion forex is trading manually and using the EA interface in MT4 as a relay. Ideally that’s what we want.
I don’t understand the talking about manual over automated trading… What can a human do that cannot be written to a code? Ea can do somethings human can’t, for example working 24/7, make complicated calculations in milliseconds, think 100% scientifically etc…
The best and most successful traders in the world would never touch automated… that should be enough for you to decide

Of course the experienced old-school traders trade manually, because they don’t have the ea for their system and lack the coding skills / interest to write their own.
I’m still pretty confident that the EAs will some day get more advanced and profitable than manual systems.

Humans can make decisions/mistakes based on emotions, guesswork, greed, fear, misunderstanding, and stupidity which means the market cannot behave in a manner that can be calculated by algorithms.
Good point. But technical analysis trading relies just to the chart data and indicators made from the data, doesn’t it?
Yes, but if all trading was automated and based on all having access to the same fundamentals and news, most if not all would try to make the same trades at the same time and there would be little opportunity for profit taking as everyone would be looking for the same or similar triggers, and without human error or inspiration the market would stagnate, which is not in anyones interest…time for a sit down and a beer I think
