Inner Circle Trader's Pro Traders Club 2012 - 2013 Series

How’s the week gone Esser? Things seem to be clicking a little more for you recently, so, well done!

fiber…1.3345 long…Ms 15 min bullish…hopefully 1hr becomes bullish too…whad do you guys think?

Look forward to your update on this, thanks.

Thank you for asking Tommy!
Well, I currently have that trade open on the EU. If it hit’s my SL, I’ll only be something like 0,5% up for the week… If it hits the 1.34 level, I will be more like 2,5% up for the week, so nothing mayor really…

I’ve been trading live for around a month now, but I couldn’t trade that much around Christmas… But I’m up a total of just under 5%… So, not very impressive results, but this is my first ever live account, so I’m just glad that I’m in profit at all :stuck_out_tongue:

My biggest problem is DEFINITELY my patience! I simply have to open trades each day, and it makes me open a lot of stupid trades :frowning: That’s really the thing I have to work on the most!

How are you doing yourself Tommy?

I’m long since LO, but it seems it is confirmed by NYO that it’s a good entry to go long

EDIT: Or not

Takes time to learn patience, I’m always looking to improve that and money management. 2.5% a week would be excellent for anyone to consistently take from the market in my opinion.

I’ve had a poor week this week with a 3.5% loss, although I have just took small positions in Fiber & Cable this KZ so I’ll be in the red either way. I’ve just increased my trading capital so all in all the 3.5% loss this week was a lot bigger than I am used to, but overall going well.

Patience & Money Management as mentioned so many times are the key to this game I believe and where the majority of my focus is going to be for the next 3 months so I can look back and have it proven in the results.

Learning more on divergences too which I can’t believe I’ve ignored for so long.

Hope it keeps going well for you! (And everyone else for that matter, including me obviously)

Just got stopped out on my Fiber trade :frowning: What happened?! Price just dropped like a rock!!

Wowza! Started out the week so well, and ended up blowing it… again!

Really tricky weeks for me to be honest, took one winner, and after today 3 losses…
Got loads of revewing to do of my trade this weekend to try and work out where i went wrong, but truely i think my biggest mistake was already made on Thursday when i decided to continue trading after my initial good trade was taken out, and i felt confused about which direction we were headed - when in doubt, stay out!..

Honestly felt myself chase the market a little today. Not easiest things to admit, but it is what it is…

Closing up charts for the weekend now, gotta get my head right and come back next week with a fresh mindset…

I think my new aim starting next week is just to work on getting one good trade a week, work on getting that one shot on kill and then being happy and closing up shop for the week. I think my two biggest problems til date are:

  • Thinking / hoping my trade will continue in my direction, i need to stop shooting for targets of hundreds of pips and take what the market gives me…

  • Learning how to take a win. I find myself feeling an overwhelming kind of confidence, hence why i think closing up shop til the next week will keep my head level…

Anyway, live and learn… This is exactly why i chose to run a small live account first, to learn all these lessons now!

Rant Over - good luck to anybody still in there
:57:

Sounds pretty much like my week SanJ! Started the week with some very nice wins on monday, and then I’ve just been loosing it all again over the rest of the week… :frowning:

Was away from charts - typical unpredictable Friday - if you are still long it looks ok - adr hit - us 10yr just hit off resistance,

I actually prefer NYO, ICT says can be easier to trade.

What happened was a Weekly double top ie 12 March and 1 April 2012

They worked this level then created a high above it in the early part of the LOKZ, which I suspect sucked in the remaining undecided breakout artists. Lamb chops for dinnner followed after that. It was going to happen, just a matter of time. Below is my entry and TP from Thursday, after which I stepped aside.

Somes news on Euro…Europe could delay the enforcement of new stringent banking rules in Europe if the U.S. moves at a slower pace on reform, Benoit Coeure, an executive board member at the European Central Bank, said Friday.

I’ve updated the post with a bunch of links. I’ll post it to 4shared too on the weekend.

Was similar for me, started out the week carving the charts up like Hannibal the great dealing to the Romans, (Last Friday was good too) Mid week held a position over the Asain session, was happy to give a bit back to the beast, then yesterday got trampled running with the bulls… :56:
Today I got my bias right but didn’t feel up to it so stayed flat.
Ended with a very modest profit which for me is a breakthrough.
I feel like the basics of ote / divergence / S&R are finally coming together & is more second nature.
Was looking forward to the sell off all week, never mind, there’s always next week
Thanks Michael!!

Has anyone’s Alpari feed stopped?? Mine’s not update for 10 minutes!!

There phone lines and website are down too…

Worried a tad, got open position and all my money in there…

EDIT: Has been snowing all day though so may be the weather… here’s the feed once it resumed…

But you have placed a SL, haven’t you??

Yes I had. Still poor on there part having such a break in service.

No loss to boot so all good. Made me think about having changing brokers or at the very least getting a back up broker.

Maybe I’ll give Oanda a try…
