Is forex a lonely business?

It is a journey through yourself , and it must be done alone to fully optimize your intelligence capacity, I’ve been single for fifteen years.

Given your experience, How do you stay motivated during such a long time of being alone?

For motivation I like the look at flash houses and cars , also ( what I’m doing anyt) is the process of elimination over the period of 15 years , if a trade doesn’t work there is a reason and it exposes itself. You fix it and continue on

When the time for me to sit on my desk, I always ask, why?
Wondering, I look my surrounding and seeing the photograph of my family, they are smiling
Take a deep breath, I open my chart, starting to find positions for today

I can’t always think of what I want
The desires are never off and can’t be won
The vision is only the one
That brings us to what we own

Yeah, I also believe in learning from each trade—if something doesn’t work, there’s always a lesson to be found, and that helps me keep improving and moving forward.

It might be a lonely business, but babypips got us all together here ensuring we are not alone :star_struck:

I completely agree, trading, especially full-time, can sometimes be lonely. It’s a reality that many don’t mention, as we often tend to focus on the technical or financial aspects of trading. But the emotional side is just as important.

OMG :open_mouth: I just saw this now. Is this an original, TYG? Love it. Maybe the “loneliness” of forex can bring out the artistic side of people.

I think most people here would agree that it is lonely, I can speak for myself that not a lot of my friends know or are interested in trading, so you can’t really expand conversations when it comes to work etc.
Online tho, when you connect with other traders, things change.

Hi @ria_rose

Every word is written, as originally.
Telling how I feel emotionally
While I’m looking at market desperately.

Seconds keep passing by, heartlessly
Abandon me here innocently
With series of losses guiltily

I’m just a man standing for my family
Dedicating my life heartfully
Nothing else … I’m wondering while I’m patting my kitty.

Agree. Connecting with other traders online really helps. It’s nice to talk to people who get what you’re going through and can share their own experiences. It makes a big difference to have a place to talk about trading and learn from each other.

HAHAHAHAH OMG :joy: Can’t believe we get to enjoy this poetic side of you more. I applaud the rhymes. And as a frustrated writer, I approve. :joy:

Trading can definitely feel isolating at times, especially when you’re deep in your analysis and strategy, without much social interaction to break it up.

It can be, especially when it’s just you, the charts, and the market’s quiet hum at 2 a.m. But I like to think of it as solo work with a networked heart, connecting with other traders online has made it feel much less isolating.

Sometimes it does feel like connecting with other traders online makes it less isolating. That is one of the reasons why I am here

That’s one of the things I love about being here too, sharing ideas and learning from others. Welcome and glad you’re here!
