. I would find a strategy that resonates with you and start backtesting to refine it and to define your edge in the market. Once you have your edge, execute it on demo risk free until you are comfortable with your edge enough to take risk with a live account.
Try to avoid hopping from strategy to strategy, if possible. Your journey will be a lot more efficient when you aren’t constantly running back to square 1 to find your edge with every new shiny strategy that you come across. There’s nothing wrong with being a 1 trick pony, because that pony is really good at that 1 trick.

Yes, but do enough careful broker research to make sure you open it in the same place where you’ll eventually open a real-money one, so that you’re failiar with not only the platform but the broker itself, all their rules and policies, and their support staff. These things all matter, and it would be a mistake to have to deal with them all for the first time when actual money is also suddenly on the line for the first time.
