Macfibo system

It’s amazing how much trial and error goes on in the first couple hundred trades, many, many mistakes. I’ve been live trading for 2 months and am only risking 0.5%. I do have more money in my account than you but I am primarily interested in consistency not actual profit right now. When consistency comes a little more I will step up leverage. I was down near 10% on my account after 1 month but now back up to my initial amount, so im getting there. It just takes plenty of time and chart watching.

This is relating to trading in general, not specifically Macfibo

Thank you for the post buddy. I have to say though that though it is a valid signal and your fibonacci pullups is spot on… but it is during London Close, which not advisable. Keep reading and posting buddy!

Allow me…

Account Size : $120 (Let’s round it up OK bro)
Risk 2% : $2.40 risk per trade

Position Size will be dependable on your SL size. If you decide to set more than 1:1 (SL @ 61.8 or 78.6 or 50.0), then you calculate this :

Position Size = $2.40/SL Size

Example :

Your SL size is 24 pips, then :
Position Size : $2.40/24 = $0.10.

So your position size should be 10cents.

Do make sure your brokers allows you to have lower than 10 cents position if you want to trade with $120 account and risking max 2%. Good luck

First of all thanks for the more simplified version of Macfibo you just posted.
Secondly, this is a very handy advice that you have given to me, I am looking to trade in the session you have asked all the traders to… And I will definitely keep note of Money management

My broker allows $0.01 as the lowest position.

Brothers,

Please have a look and see whether I set the system right :51:. First time trading using the system. SL at 38.2 Fibo and TP at 161.8 Fibo. Thank you.

Your PT A should be at CLOSE, not HIGH. Other than that, it looks good. If 5ema cross 8sma before hits SL, just exit the trade buddy.

Thanks neighbour.

I’ll be in ‘Macfibo Room’ for 30-60 minutes. Anybody wants to chat etc… just join me there 301 Moved Permanently

Exited at 0.81566. Thanks for the heads up.

I thought you were trading USDJPY, what is that number (0.81566)?

Today was the first time that I placed a trade using the MACFIBO system, I went to bed and woke up to a nice surprise, I am trading the AUDJPY pairs during the hours of 3:00am - 7:00am UK time using the MACFIBO system.

Since trying it out I thought I would give it another test and again MACFIBO seems to be doing its things again, can someone tell me if the charts are correct :

Excerpt from Macfibo 1.2 “Based from this statistics I’ve concluded that Asian Session Open until the London Close is the best time to trade Macfibo.”

Sufiansaid, if I counted it correctly, that’s about 15hours trading window in a day right?

MACFIBO SYSTEM UPDATE 25/04/2012

It feels like it has been a month I haven’t posted System Update… well it has only been a week plus… I am very sorry for the system-update-less thread. As I stated already, I was busy doing the ver 1.2 E-book writeup. I am sorry I will not be covering XAUUSD system update as part of the main topic of system update, instead I will try to include some other pairs once or twice. And also If I have extra time, I will briefly trade review on EURUSD’s Secondary Signals as well. I will ofcourse will continue post in updated statistics on EURUSD’s perfomance in Macfibo Main Signal (without any filters mentioned in version 1.2) and also a separate statistics on EURUSD’s Macfibo perfomance in London and London-US sessions.

The most recent valid main signal was actually on 24th May but it was before Asian Open hence I ignored it (it is pretty amazing that i was already up in that hour… it was 5AM in my place). There was a Macfibo Main Signal (let’s call that now) on the 23rd April 2012.

It was during London Session and pretty straightforward. I set my TP, set my SL and left it. It was my favorite setup as well (Bull Activation candle for a Bearish Main Signal), obviously because of the extra pips it could bring and smaller pips I could lose… It’s perfect… 28 pips. Not bad for a shrinking-range EURUSD. Noted I did mention I normally would ignore a signal on Monday Asian Session but I need to clarify that I meant on Secondary Signal. Sorry for that mistake.

I want to show you, incase Macfibo Secondary Signal (let’s call it that from now on… no more 're-entry) trading is still confusing to you all.

As stated earlier, I ignored the Main Signal due to the trading session. There is a valid secondary signal in Asian Session, the activation candle was around 127.2, hence I decide to TP it @ 161.8 (the Resistance is waay up, did not block the 1.618 TP zone). I set my SL in a 1:1 ratio. My SL did not hit but 5ema crossed 8sma even before it hits TP/SL… So I exited the trade… -7 pips.

Another oppportunity came, this time it was around 161.8. **I could either TP it @ 261.8 or 300.0 but I much prefer 261.8 due to price usual interest in this fibonacci level. But I TP it at previous day’s High (R-Line) as it blocks the TP Zone, So I TP it there. Harvested 15 pips. So overall it was a positive day for Macfibo though it is less than 10 pips… positive pips is good pips.

** Though I stated in the guide to TP @ 300.0, but for now just TP @ 261.8

I will maintain to keep the Statistics Log strictly for Macfibo Main Signal only (without filters, just blind Macfibo trade, just to show it is still profitable and trading with simple methods can work as long as we follow the rules and stick to your stops and money management).

Little bit off topic but still about Macfibo…

My wife started reading the thread and shirked to read how bad my grammar is (she is a linguist and language specialist in some sort so you can understand her). However she is happy that I have the ‘confidence’ to write and even try ‘teaching’ 100% in English. However, she wants me to practise my SPOKEN english and supported some of the thread reader’s idea : Video.

She suggested that I’d do a VIDEO system update together with the WRITTEN system update… to further improve my spoken English. I will still think about it but if I am going to do a recorded video as part of this thread’s features… What sort of things would you want me to talk about in that video??? I mean I believe I’ve covered almost everything in the guide heheheh… Open for ideas while I am still thinking about it…

Brother,

Opps. Another trade.

Hey sulfiansaid,

I really like the performance of the MACFIBO system and am looking forward to test it myself in the future. Im studying your MACFIBO SYSTEM edition 1.2 PDF right now and have a question regarding the secondary signal for a long entry.

You write “While price is below 20sma, then 5EMA crossed below 8SMA” for the long entry and the same thing for the short entry. Did you forget to change the text for the long entry or do I just have a hard time understanding the secondary signals?

Thanks for the Updates and the awesome system and many thanks in advance!

Thanks for your attentiveness, seems like sufian made a small mistake in the guide.

For a long entry on a secondary signal it should be the opposite:
While price is above 20sma, 5ema crosses above 8sma.

Having another go using Macfibo. Do advice if my settings are wrong. Thanks

Seems alright, good luck with that trade;)
