A PC or a Phone, what’s better when trading Forex???
There is difference between pc and mobile phones. I suggest both of them. How?
Simply if you have two devices at a time pc and mobile or both mobiles you can earn even more. Log in your trade account on both open top tighter 4 pairs on pc but if you have mobile then one pair. Look and keep on watching on the pc or mobile screen to analysis. On the other hand set the new order keep your finger on the enter button first set your mind what kind of indicator is most usefull at that moment and you have place an order on buy or sell also. Then looking on fornt screen of pc or mobile just press enter to place your trade in a micro second of time. Its when your mind set price level is touched.
You can trade faster and modify later sl tp on it.
For me PC is more better because we have a fix place to trade and it is a big screen to analysis the market. Mobile is also good place but it did not provide a large to analysis.
PC far more comfortable than phone.
For me; desktop trading is the best; even I prefer to use large screen!
Actually, the main difference is not in screen size, but in functionality. Desktop version of any platform always much more powerful than mobile one, especially if we speak about the technicla analysis tools. Smartphone is good for monitoring positions already opened before, or you can even open a new trade you are waiting for (it helps not to miss the trade if you are outside of your trading place), but in fact it is something like additional tool for specific purposes. At the same time, PC having full-scale Windows or Mac OS provides you with more possibilities, since you can use desktop platform versions with huge functionality, additional tools that have no mobile versions at all (something like Forex Tester, Forex Copier and other trading software), while desktop versions of common tools like MS Excel have more functions too.
Another important point - speed and comfort. In most of the cases it will take less time to enter an order using PC than through the smartphone.
In case you need to move for the whole day and trading station with several monitors is not for you, a great solution would be a portable laptop, something like 12" or Windows-based laptop (the first one is better as it has trackpad - it is better than touchscreen for trading purposes). Any of these devices would be portable enough for every day carry while offering the full scope of features needed, something like mobile office that is always with you wherever you are going. And don`t be afraid that 12" is too small - in fact, performance and functionality are much more important than screen size.
I prefer a large screen also. But, I tend to use my desktop/laptop for analysis purposes, and place trades on my phone
Hmmm. I prefer my laptop for checking out my charts because it just gives me a wider perspective. Haha. I guess I also just got used to it so it’s easier for me to draw on my charts whenever I’m using my laptop.
Don’t know how people can manage their trading with mobile where there is not even proper analysis system to see the actual market.
Computers > Mobile devices
Mobile devices have the convenience of portability and mobility (say entering or exiting while on the road or trading while taking a stroll in the park or closing positions while having lunch at your favorite restaurant). However, to have that convenience, some things were sacrificed or traded off: (1) Some broker features wont be available (2) Charts wont be that clear as compared to a desktop (ie Hey it did not look THAT bearish on mobile) (3) Not all customization to the platform is available (4) Sometimes interface can be a pain (Fat fingers moments)
So here is my order of preference:
4th = My phone
3rd = My tablet
2nd = My desktop
1st = Company desktop LOLOLOL
Same problem is with and i am wonder how people use pc to trade where there are lots of things and point and selecting evrything with mouse taking lot of time. We need only 1 or 2 tech analysis tools and two charts which are simly avail on mobile and execution is faster then pc
Assuming a MetaTrader4 trading platform, a PC is-non optional for most technical traders. The mobile MT4, while very good, cannot upload custom indicators, so unless you are content with the default indicators, you won’t be able to apply your trading system on the mobile platform.
That said, the default indicators are very good, and I’ve traded profitably using them. But most of us have to go through a phase of thinking that ‘better’ indicators will result in better trades, when the problem is actually us.
Now that I’m trading price action, everything goes through my tablet. Like most people, though, I find the phone very useful for checking in on open positions.
I think your trading type comes into play. Intraday, no way you can do that on a phone and get the necessary data you need to be successful. Mobile can help you with alerts and checking in, maybe placing an order if your analysis was already complete. And maybe a phone when you’re taking longer-term trades, where immediate access to charts and price feeds isn’t necessary.
I mean anything can be done on mobile these days, but you want to set yourself up for success. Don’t let your technology become a reason why your trades fail.
First of all it depends on your trading style and trade horizont. If you place a trade some time in the future it is not so important if you waste time (or better you loose time) with scrolling around and typing three times untill you come to a result on the smartphone. Its a matter of fact that analyzing, observing, comparing different time frames, scroling back … takes much more time than sitting with a mouse infront of the pc.
So the shorter your time horizont, the more those smartphones are suboptimal. I tried to trade my short-term intraday trading sometimes (in the train, bus, McDonalds:hamburger:,on the beach, skiing lift… on the phone…-it was annoying! Even when i jump from M1 to M5 it takes too much time because of scrolling and turning the handy around to see longer price charts. So alone this scrolling takes important seconds to enter a trade. If you dont scroll, you cannot observe the whole time series of the process and miss some points that create a support or resistance zone or a significant high/low…and so on…and the propability of a winning trade becomes smaller because you skip one input. (in this case the input is that a support or restistance zone eliminates the buy or sell signal initialized by other factors)
But as i mentioned-the longer your trading horizont and available time for preparing a trade the more equal is the use of a (large enough) smartphone or pc.
My large enough Smartphone:
You can throw it on the floor or throw it in the sea:rage: without doing any harm to it when you loose a trade,10000Mha battery lasts days, but no replacement for a pc
laptop or pc.
i never preferred mobile for trading, it’s way to much work and the small screen makes it worse.
Nod doubt that it depends on person to person that how he is actually trading what kind of strategy, indicator or analysis he is using, many things matter for trading.
PC is much much preferred for analysis, but can’t ignore mobile for its usefulness. I have a liking in large screen with sofa, though I tried for few days but this is against the simplistic nature of trading mindset for me. depends person to person for what suits the best.
What is the Make of this phone and how do I get it? Thanks
Personal computer is definitely much better for everything it’s usually have much much better connection and so on really. For phone I simply using something like mobile application from broker to keep checking process but do not take active part in that.
Believe it or not, there are traders out there that know how to trade off their phones lol I personally need a large screen in order to properly do my analysis, but that’s only because I’ve never fully tried doing one on my phone, so who knows,maybe one day I’ll be able to lol
