I would agree, there is a lot of useful information in his threads (in amongst the constant chatter of his readers) and I would hate to see that lost. By all means stop it sticking, but keep the threads here.
I find it very surprising to see the statements here after the fact. I only ever took the tools and teaching into consideration and use what I think works for me. I never ever relied on ICT to give me a “out of the box” ready solution to success or to proof in some way that he had made multi millions using the same methods.
As he and any other mentor states, take what you learn and use it in your own way.
I feel that some people are in a drawdown here and are “revenge trading” big time in the forum…
From what I’ve read so far from this thread i’m happy I don’t visit the forum too often.
I can only say thank you ICT for your teachings and thank you to other contributors in the forum and on other websites.
I do not expect anything off anyone that post here but if I read something that interests me, I may take it into consideration and use it in my arsenal. I would never hold you responsible for how it works for me.
My view is that if you are teaching something or trying to sell a strategy / product you should give an fxbook as a prerequisite.
I come from a poker background 12-24 tabling 50nl-100nl on PS and FTP, you wouldn’t believe the amount of coaching sites that were available such as, DeucesCracked / BlueFirePoker / LeggoPoker / CardRunners, with coaches who were breakeven or losers money wise.
Exactly!
What’s the point of a coach / teacher / mentor arming you with faulty tools & advise that they can’t, or refuse to demonstrate successfully to you?? Show us how it worked first, & then we know we at least have a modest chance of success, if we practice with the said tools.
This is the crossroads I’m at now. Do I drop the teacher & continue with the tools?
Did the tools fail the teacher or did the teacher fail with the tools?
It’s a dilemma I’m not enjoying because as long as I have it I mentally can not get moving again!
Back on topic, these threads need to stay for a few reasons a big one been, a reference point for future accusations & disputes, people misquoting what was actually said over the last three years… sorry
Well, that is easy… The teacher didn’t proof the tools, so you drop the tools. Otherwise there is no use in proofing that the tools are working. So no myxfxbook = dropping the tools.
Hahaha, I almost included your rocket story in a re-re-adjusted form…
It would have included a 'KABOOMMMM!!!'and a “Aahh, that is okay. I think I still gonna do it the way you did it!” But it is still draft.
Anyway, it is good that you think beyond the skills of the teacher/mentor/coach.
