This two minute speech is part of Australian Folk Lore⌠From an era when real business men ruled corporate Australia.

âI pay whatever tax I am required to pay under the law, not a penny more, not a penny less⌠if anybody in this country doesnât minimize their tax they want their heads read because as a government I can tell you youâre not spending it that well that we should be donating extraâŚâ Kerry Packer

âIf a British guy saw someone at the wheel of a Rolls- Royce, heâd say âcome the revolution and weâll take that away from you, mateâ, where the American would say âone day Iâll have one of those, when I have worked hard enoughâ. Itâs unfortunate we Australians inherited the British mentalityâŚâ Kerry Packer
Even 30 years on⌠It rings more true than everâŚ
The proposed law provide full control to the state legislatures without requiring approval by state governors.
I think we should just eliminate state governors and the president position and give full control over to the federal and state legislatures since they are the real decision makers.
Republicans want to rewrite the constitution to limit federal power but a former senator says a ârunawayâ convention could spell danger for health care, education, and the environment
Republicans have been plotting to rewrite the constitution and limit federal power.
Former Sen. Russ Feingold and scholar Peter Prindiville write in their new book that this could lead to drastic changes in laws.
âIn this uncertainty lies great danger and, possibly, great power,â they wrote, according to the NYT.
Republicans have campaigned behind the scenes for years now to change the constitution through a gathering of 34 state legislatures known as a constitutional convention.
A constitutional convention, designated by Article V of the constitution, would allow state legislatures to pass or ratify constitutional amendments without a governorâs signature, Congressâ intervention, or any input from the president.
Itâs all gone very quiet on the FBI and the Biden Admirationâs clumsy raid of Trumpâs Mar A Lago. A week of blanket 24 hour coverage, and now nada⌠In CNN or MNBCâs recent news cyclesâŚ
They have finally recognized the outrage from Joe Average across the 52 States toward an obviously biased and politicized FBI and DOJ.
WhatâŚ? After reports of Nuclear Codes, Top Secret documents, Jimmy Carterâs fun with Peanuts colouring in book, autographed Stormy Danielâs DVD Boxset (excuse the pun), maybe even a copy of Hillaryâs Inauguration Speech⌠Supposedly contained in said seized boxesâŚ
Seems it was all just claptrap⌠Like everything else that comes out of the Biden White House!

Trump and his lawyers are offering conflicting explanations for why he had secret documents at Mar-a-Lago
Trump has claimed he had declassified the official documents he took after leaving office.
But in a court appearance on Thursday his lawyers did not make that argument.
Trumpâs defence in the wake of the Mar-a-Lago raid has shifted over time.
Donald Trump and his lawyers have made a range of arguments to explain why the former president was keeping hundreds of classified documents at his Ma-a-Lago resort after leaving office.
Fox News Contributor Admits to Creating Fake Story About Canadian Woman Being âTrampledâ to Death
Fox News contributor Sara Carter has walked back her entirely fictitious claim about a woman dying after being trampled by a Canadian authority on horseback amid ongoing trucker-led protests.
While the claim wasnât accurate, the tweet was red-meat for her over 1.3 million conservative Twitter followers, who quickly amplified the baseless death as evidence of Canadian government wrongdoing.
Fox News host calls out network for covering false stories about Biden and Harris
The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it.- Joseph Goebbels
Joseph Goebbels would turn green with envy over the propaganda machine that the Republican right wing has built. FOX, Sinclair, Limbaugh, right wing radio, Social Media, Preachers on TV, Republicans in Congress, talking points of the day, fake think tanks, conspiracy theories⌠the list goes on and on. They take their cues from each other and run with the same lies to reach as many people as possible in the shortest time possible.
The Republican party CAN NOT exist without lies, fear, and hate. When was the last time you saw a Republican run for office without, caravans coming toward the boarder, children with Ebola mixed with ISIS members coming, Democrats are going to take away your Medicare, Socialized medicine, Flashing red terrorist warning lights from Homeland Security
Greg Sargent has a series of tweets today that are aimed at Trumpâs lies, but I think this can be applied to the propaganda the Republican party has been using for decades to build the real mindless cult of followers that allows them to attack our democracy with such ferocity.
Unfortunately, they are just reloading their muskets, you can bet they have a new attack planned for the week before our elections, not that elections matter anymore, democracy at the federal level is pretty much dead. The proof will be when democrats keep contol of congress, something that history has taught us to be impossible.
Welcome to the Conquered states of America, where freedom no longer rings
Here in the US the media political machine always blames the taxpayer ( corporations, the rich) they never call out congress for writing tax laws that created this mess
Any space fans out there?
NASA continues their woes with another cancelation of Artemis, seeing how NASA has built the worldâs most expensive launch system and with plans to man ( or would that be women) the craft based on gender and race, I see nothing but problems ahead for NASA, In the meantime, China is gaining ground on NASA and are free to employ the best of the best with no regard to race or gender
President Donald Trump faces a full day signing bills, two of which are aimed at promoting women.
The first bill, the Inspiring the Next Space Pioneers and Innovators and Explorers Act (INSPIRE), directs NASA to encourage women to pursue careers in science, mathematics and engineering.
Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) first introduced the bill in March, 2016. The bill also tasks NASA with promoting careers in aerospace with women.
The second bill, Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act, permits the National Science Foundation to âencourage its existing entrepreneurial programs to recruit and support women to extend their focus beyond the laboratory and into the commercial world.â
âThe INSPIRE Women Act will help create a climate for young girls and women to be successful in STEM and competitive on the world stage, and be great assets to growing the 21st Century economy,â Comstock said of her bill previously.
The second bill, Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act, permits the National Science Foundation to âencourage its existing entrepreneurial programs to recruit and support women to extend their focus beyond the laboratory and into the commercial world.â
Trump also plans to pass an executive order aimed at strengthening historically black colleges and universities. Vice President Mike Pence reaffirmed the administrationâs support of HBCUs during a meeting Monday. (RELATED:Trump Plans To Strengthen Support For Black Colleges)
âYou deserve far more credit than you get, and know that beginning today, this administration is committed to making sure that our historically black colleges and universities get the credit and the attention they deserve,â Pence told those gathered.
All this just shows how terrified they are of this man, just as they were terrified of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. Even Obama said " there is top secret and there is top secret" Clearly indicating much of this so-called top secret crap is nothing more than covering up some criminal dealings of some in government.
It is time that some light be shown on the dark workings of our government, I say make all these documents public, no more secrets. letâs become a free and open society again

Chinese couple arrested and accused of trying to establish mini-state in the US-defended Marshall Islands
A Chinese couple has been accused of trying to establish a mini-state in the Marshall Islands.
Cary Yan and Gina Zhou were charged for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Per the DOJ, they tried creating a semi-autonomous region like Hong Kong in the former US territory.
A Chinese couple was arrested and indicted on Friday for what the Department of Justice described as a âmulti-year schemeâ to try to, among other things, establish an autonomous mini-state in the Marshall Islands, a former US territory.
The indictment of Yan and Zhou outlines allegations from prosecutors of how the pair had posed as officers linked to a non-governmental organization in New York City and tried to bribe Marshall Islands officials while in US territory. According to the filing, the NGO also held a âspecial consultative statusâ with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs from around 2016 to 2018.
According to the filing, Trumpâs motion was âgranted in part.â Judge Aileen Cannonwrote: âThe Court hereby authorizes the appointment of a special master to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney- client and/or executive privilege.â
Christopher Wray, the FBI director who greenlighted the search of Mar-a-Lago was picked for the job by then-President Donald Trump in 2017.
At the time Trump called him a man of âimpeccable credentials.â Today, Wray is facing pressure for the FBIâs Monday night actions, which Trump supporters are calling âunprecedented.â

Former FBI assistant director says Trump could have kept hold of a foreign countryâs nuclear secrets because it had âthe highest price tagâ for classified info
Former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi has a theory on why Donald Trump kept top-secret nuclear files.
Figliuzzi said these files held âthe greatest valueâ to interested foreign powers and their enemies.
He said countries would give âtheir right armâ to find out what the US knew about their defenses.
A former FBI official said former President Donald Trump may have wanted to keep top-secret documents about a foreign power because of the astronomical price that country â or its adversaries â might have paid for such information.
