Political Opinion

There are in excess of 1.4 bn people in China - at a wild guess around 1bn of those subscribe to the belief that their Govt is “looking out for their best interest.”

This is the difference between democracy and autocracy - in the former you get to define your best interest, in the latter you don’t.

I am not sure how we jump to China but I will bite.

In the case of China, living standards this century have improved for most of the population, and do to Chinese propaganda most will credit the Chinese government. I have had this conversation many times, on many different formats, it usually goes something like this.

China person: the Chinese government has lifted 1 billion people out of poverty

Dennis: no, it is the American consumer that has lifted all those people out of poverty, Your Welcome

China: Your everyday consumer products are affordable, you are welcome

And… It’s about to put what’s left of them back into poverty again…

China’s end of life as an economic superpower is near… Apple has moved it’s iPhone manufacturing (Foxcomm) to India… Many global businesses have moved their manufacturing out of China to India, Vietnam and other parts of Asia… DYOR…

Some… Who claim to be demographic experts believe that the World’s current, official population could be overestimated by at least 20%, for a variety of reasons. Most of this overestimation concerns people under the age of 25, which should concern everyone…

This stands to reason, especially in the case of China. If you look at the demographic chart provided here by Peter Zeihan one would have expected a long-term One Child policy to have had an even more dramatic effect. I strongly suspect that the Chinese have not deliberately overstated their younger population by 200 million, but by at least double this number.

It’s astonishing that the Chinese government didn’t see this coming. When I was in high school in the 80s, my geography teacher was telling me that this would happen eventually if China didn’t scrap the One Child Policy soon. It’s only NOW that they’re reacting…

As usual… Nothing but researchable facts and figures…

No matter how much we complain about how cheaply certain products are made there will always be a limit on how much we are willing to pay for certain items. As some politicians would like you to believe, the manufacturing industry will never return to the U.S.

America have a bigger problem

The Middle Class Can No Longer Afford Rent In America

All Americans require a nice, secure, and inexpensive place to live in order to prosper. For years, low-income families have battled to find cheap rental properties, but today the middle class is also facing significant difficulties in this area.

Certainly have… That’s what happens when the simpleton’s vote for a Career Politician who doesn’t know his arse from his elbow… Let alone remember it… !

Borrowing your Pearls to the Pigs anaolgy… America’s economic woes came from throwing open the responsibility of choosing a leader to the majority of ignorant, incompetent and inept on the left…

Those of us on(in) the right have been telling you for months that this was going to happen…

What do you think was going to be the outcome…?

America got this way after over 50 years of politics. You didn’t think America became this way overnight, did you?

What Happened to the Middle Class Prosperity of the 1950s?

Victor Davis Hanson discusses how the American middle class flourished in the 1950s after WW2. But how it started to face challenges in the 60s and 70s due to globalization.

What…!!.. Are you saying it wasn’t all Donald Trump’s fault…?

Surely… Tucker Carlson came along later and made the whole situation even worse…!!

It’s the same excuse your mate dudebro used when confronted by the mass exodus of California in the last 2-3 years… Naaa… It’s been happening since the early 2000’s…

Until presented with a Graph that shot his rubbish to pieces

@SmallPaul It must be hard to always be trying to defend the indefensible on the left…

Tanks Out on Switzerland Streets After Rioting Inspired By Violence in France

France-inspired violence erupted in the Swiss city of Lausanne after more than a hundred youths damaged shops in the city centre. Although nowhere near the scale of the violence in France, stones were thrown and show windows were smashed in Lausanne on Saturday evening, with a sneaker store particularly affected. Several arrests have been made by police and the situation has been contained. Watch the video for more.

It seems like the qualifications aren’t that high

U.S. opens new legal path for Central American, Colombian immigrants

The Biden administration will soon open a new immigration program to allow some Central Americans and Colombians to enter the U.S. legally and discourage would-be migrants from these countries from journeying north to cross the U.S. southern border illegally, officials announced Friday.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initiative, which will formally start on July 10, will allow eligible migrants from Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras to fly to the U.S. and gain government work permits if they have relatives who are U.S. citizens or legal residents and have filed visa applications on their behalf.

To qualify for the program, migrants must have U.S. ties. The process starts with U.S. citizens or permanent residents filing immigrant visa requests on behalf of relatives from these four countries. Qualifying family members include adult children and siblings of U.S. citizens and children and spouses of permanent residents.

If selected and approved, the relatives would be permitted to enter the country under humanitarian parole authority, which also allows them to work in the U.S. legally. Those migrants would be able to gain permanent residency, or a green card, once their visa is available.

As part of a broader plan to address unlawful crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this year, the Biden administration committed to welcoming up to 100,000 Central American migrants under this program, known as the Family Reunification Parole Process. Officials have not provided a timeframe for fulfilling that pledge or a cap for Colombian applicants.

This man might feel better if these people were held accountable.

Trump Voter Sues Fox News After Tucker Carlson Lies Ruined His Life

Ray Epps, a two-time Trump voter from Arizona who found himself at the center of a wild Jan. 6 conspiracy, is suing Fox News for defamation.

The lawsuit alleges that the network, particularly its former star host Tucker Carlson, painted Epps as an undercover federal agent in order to push a conspiracy that the FBI helped orchestrate the riot at the Capitol in order to vilify Trump and his supporters.

“In the aftermath of the events of January 6th, Fox News searched for a scapegoat to blame other than Donald Trump or the Republican Party,” the suit reads. “Eventually, they turned on one of their own, telling a fantastical story in which Ray Epps — who was a Trump supporter that participated in the protests on January 6th — was an undercover FBI agent and was responsible for the mob that violently broke into the Capitol and interfered with the peaceful transition of power for the first time in this country’s history.”
