Mori,
I have 3 of the same 7 pip profit trades. The other two I probably missed being disconnected from service temporarily.
Mori,

Which broker are you guys on? On my broker (FBS) most trades end hitting stoploss with around 70 pips loss. So I see a completely different thing. Any help is really appreciated.
Alpari (US). I use it for testing and live trading, Ive never had any problems with them.
I am using FXCM UK Sucessdoc, not sure, can you attach a screen shot, also are any other EA’s running at the same time?
Alpari US also. Have had good luck with them except their little restriction on hedging…
Mine hasn’t traded once - what time were your trades (GMT)? InterbankFX is my broker…
Hi Guys, there is a new set on the server, please restart your MT4 with a clean chart and drag the EA onto the 5 minute EUR/USD, It should read “Optimized Jan. 6th+”
thanks
S1L1,
Check your journal and experts tabs on your trade bar window to see if there are any errors or issues.
Also, make sure you change the US trading session to 23:59. I accidently changed the Asian session once by accident.
Make sure you get the you are registerd alert and then it should be game on.
Hi moripre,
I have 2 questions for you and they are as follows:
(1) Do we always have to visit this forum to know when a new set of has been optimised and then restart our MT4 in order to get the update? Can’t it be done automatically without human interference?
(2) I noticed that the forum is titled “Premji 30 pip scalper”. Why is the EA now going as far 100 (sometimes 250) pips before taking profit?
Thanks
NiceChap
Hello, the next ea will update itself every 24 hrs so you will not need to restart the EA every-time. We will have many different time frames available shortly including 1 minute which will be going for scalping trades.
thanks
3 more profitable trades today with no Losses 33 pips total so far on live FXCM UK account. I have posted a screen shot.
thanks
Mine entered a trade about a 1/2 hour ago (18:55 GMT) which is currently down. What times were the other trades you mentioned morimpre?
I only had one trade today (alpari). Not sure what happend but i mannually closed at 32+ pips.
Yeah, when I first launch the EA I get 5 dialog boxes asking if it’s ok for dll’s to run (can’t remember the names off the top of my head) then I get the ’ You are registered ’ alert. US close is set to 23:59 - nothing else is changed except the magic number (entered the key, of course)… I’m currently in a trade now which was triggered at 18:55 GMT…
*** Update ***
When the markets closed, the trade was up 23.5 pips (IBFX is a 5 digit broker) so we’ll see what happens Sunday afternoon when the Asia/Pacific market re-opens. Does premji usually hold trades for the weekend? Did anybody else get a trade entry @ 18:55 GMT?
I only got one trade as well for Alpari-US. It was another winner though.
Also, I personally close all trades friday afternoon before market close. Provides a stress free weekend. Also keeps me out of the market in case something happens that shakes up monday trading.
Yes, not a bad day at all, 4 solid trades all profitable. I am also in a trade currently at 20+ pips up at market close, we will have to see Sunday.
thanks
If this were on my live account I would have closed the trade, but since it’s a demo account I figured I’d just let it ride.
I also just finished running a 3 year backtest with an initial deposit of $10,000 - the account was left with $5,334.31. I left all the defaults in the EA setup, with the exception of changing the US Close to 23:59. These results seem contrary to what some others have posted in this thread, is there something I should have done differently in the backtest?
Have a good weekend…
Hello, the EA is optimized for the past 60-90 days so its relevant to the current market conditions. What we do is, optimize for 3 months prior for the current month. So for the past year we optimized for example January-March, we took the best most balanced set, and applied it to April, so April is considered “out of sample”. and we did this for all of the months(24) for the past 2 years to see if this process of back-testing and then step forward testing for the following month worked and we found that going back 90 days produced the most consistent results for the current (“out of sample”) month. Anybody can back test an EA for 3 years to get the best set, but the data from 36 months ago may not be relevant to the current market (volatility and range). 90 days back produces a good data, then we have other criteria to pick the most “balanced” set and apply this to the current month. We believe in order for an EA to be profitable, it must be re optimized very often, at-least monthly. That is why the Premji EA will be pulling optimized data from the server regularly, to ensure its viabillity in the current market conditions.
thanks
That explains why the first backtest I ran (which by coincidence was three months) my results were better - on a $1,000 deposit my results were $1,234.98 and on a $10,000 they were $12,338.63.
Also, wanted to say thanks for your continued responses to all of our questions and thanks for all the effort you and your team have put into this EA.
Hi Morimpre,
This is my account… 2501599
